Slinter Cell : Chaos Theory...

Yes, not for the feint hearted, as soon as games giants, Ubisoft decided it was time to seriously raise the bar on computer game soundtracks they got on the case and set their sights on our very own Amon Tobin. What you get is an electronic record made almost entirely from acoustic instruments, every sound has been lovingly warped and re-warped, handcrafted and caressed before having thousands of volts shot through it for that trademark Amon adrenalin rush. Possibly the first 'proper' videogame soundtrack to be released as an album in its own right, this is also a blinding record, another worthy addition to Tobin's ever-developing catalogue...

I'll get the game just for the soundtrack :D

Actually, videogame soundtrack's are often released as albums in Japan...

And the best videogame music has got to be the orchestral and piano music from pre-PS2 Final Fantasy games..

I own the original score to FF7. 4 discs of childhood memories!

Yes lots of games have had soundtrack releases, but this is the first REAL album to acompany a game (to my knowledge). Amon is releasing it as a seperate album so it should be a kicker.

I gonna have to agree with you here. Plus the secret level on Wipeout XL with the billboard advertisement for the Chemical Brothers is an extra added super happy fun time bonus!!!

^ I've heard really good things about Bloc Party, but have yet to hear them.

I know this is a broad question, but what's their music like? And just for the sake of throwing it out there, what do they compare to?
