Posted this twice i know!

Ok here?s my review of the sat 19th march show at Brixton, I think the set list is correct!

This was show number 6 for me so I had a good idea what it was about and the potential of how good it could be. And yes it was fucking good, the best performance I had ever seen! My friends and I arrived in Brixton at about 8.00ish and went straight into the goose for a meal, which was cool because it was very cheap. I glimpsed outside and saw sneaker walk past so waved at him however he didn?t have a clue who I was so I went to introduce myself shortly after. I then got a call from Jeanie who was outside with Irishfan. It was really cool meeting them and chatting to other keen chems fans, sorry we couldn?t chat more, however I?m sure there will be other chems shows I will see you at.

After the Secret Machines and a Brilliant dj set from a guy called Ian something it was time for the chems!

As I suspected the classic 'Tomorrow Never Knows' was played just before the boys came onstage, this is such a great intro track as its very calm just before the storm begins, the crowd began to get into it and some were singing along. I could see just to the side of the stage and saw a door open, I knew this was it! The boys came on stage giving us a few waves with huge grins on there faces, whilst there was a massive cheer from the excited crowd. There then followed a screaming sound that was the beginning of 'Hey Boy Hey Girl', the crowd reacted well to this and it was a great way to start because everyone knew it, it sounded very similar to the original however towards the end it because more acidic like the Chile set. The visuals were the classic mathematical equations which covered the side parts of the stage. Next up was 'Get Yourself High', this is a really powerful track live and works excellently on the back of ?Hey Boy Hey Girl'. The Green lasers were used with this track and some green visuals on the sides of the stage that reminded me of windows media player. ?Big Jumped? worked very live I thought, the beginning was very different to the album and sounded a bit like an old skool track with weird piano/synth sounds, however this was not played for very long and I thought it should have been played longer seeing as its such a good tune, I think the visuals were aeroplanes. ?Galvanised? wasn?t bad however I was expecting it to sound a lot better live and I wasn?t very impressed with the visuals to they were just chimneys and was very similar to the recent television ad. Tom seemed to be concentrating a lot whilst Ed was jumping around at the back of the stage as usual. ?Music Response? played next, the volume seemed to be wacked up on this track and then the big screen was used for visuals, this really drove the audience into a wild frenzy whilst the dancing men appeared on the big screen shooting pistols at each other. ?Block Rocking Beats? was then dropped, this was of course mixed in very well by Tom who really got into it whilst using the akai, it seemed much better than the studio version as there was less depth to it and the guitar rifts and lyrics seemed much stronger, the visuals were again very impressive with the blocks on the walls and building being shown. ?Leave Home?, ?Song ToThe Siren? were kind a mixed in together, this worked very well and I herd a snippet of the Prodigy track ?Voodoo People? which was very cool. ?Come Inside? sounded brilliant live just like the Wolves gig, however there was less emphasis on the crashing sound at the start like the album version, the visuals were a green and yellow colour with a women saying the words of the song. ?Under The Influence? pumped in next with the dirty acid sounds, it sounded much more like mix 2 not the ?Surrender? version with ?It doesn?t Matter? also being mixed into it as usual with some blue robot visuals. ?Out Of Control? was also a killer and varied a lot from the album version, there seemed to be a break in the middle of the track where another guy came onto stage and fiddled with it whilst Tom spoke to him, I seemed like there was a problem, but even so it was still very good. I began to here the sounds of New Orders ?Temptation? so I knew what was coming next. ?Star Guitar? sounded so blissful and really is one of the best tracks they do live, I don?t know how they do it but it doesn?t seem to vary from the album but just is so much better, the visuals complemented the track so well and were similar to the cover of the single with a lot more emphasis on lots of different colours like a rainbow. The crowd seemed to warm toward this part of the set very well as a break from the hardness for a short chilled section. ?Surface To Air? was cracking and was a lot more like the album with the lovely robot sounds at the beginning, the visuals were a female diver spinning around, there was also a part where they was lots of circles on the screen that seemed to be bubbles giving the underwater feel to the track like the wolves gig. Ed was walking to the front of the stage a lot and seemed a bit drunk and was laughing a lot and talking to Tom whilst he worked at the front. Next I saw a bucking horse on stage and I knew that it was time for ?Hoops?, this really was enjoyable and I also love the spider visuals used. A pounding beat dropped in soon after and I really didn?t know what it was this puzzled me until I herd the words; ?I need you to Believe Something?, yes this was it ?Believe? live what I had been waiting for! The veggies did not let us down again with stunning visuals of crosses, churches, castles and graveyards. A personal favourite was then pumped out next, I didn?t soil my pants this time like I nearly did at Wolves when I herd ?You Are All My Children Now?, ?Acid Children? was here in its great live form, I really cannot explain how much I love this track, its just so evil and dirty with its very hard acid house sounds. The crowd didn?t seem to know what to make of this at first but soon got into it after the shock of those clowns laughing whilst Ed again was laughing around stage. The visuals for the track seemed to vary from the summer gigs with more swirling blue and red colours appearing. ?The Golden Path? worked well after ?Acid Children? with yellow visuals and the intro of the track sounded very cool at a higher pitch than the studio version, Ed and Tom clearly love this track a lot with big smiles together whilst playing it. The mid part of ?Electrobank? was then played but was without the lyrics or the hard break beats, I was surprised to here this live. Ed then left the stage shortly followed by Tom, the crowd was left with a weird looping sound before the encore with another guy coming onto stage checking the gear before Ed and Tom came back on to another big cheer. They then began a track that I couldn?t work out for about a minute, it was ?Hold Tight London? with visuals of the words ??Hold Tight London? on the sides of the stages before them showing views of around London. If I?m honest I didn?t like this track live as it varied a lot from the album and did not seem as chilled as normal because it had been chopped about a lot, then end of the track however was very long which flowed very nicely into ?The Private Psychedelic Reel?. As usual the visuals showed Christ which my Catholic mates were not very impressed with, however like the rest of the crowd they soon got into the churning sounds of the track and loved the winking eyes at the end with ?Love Is All? spelt out on the stage as Tom and Ed finished the set and hugged onstage before waving goodbye and trotting off stage.

Over all an awesome show much better than any gig I had ever been to, every one had a great time and I sure I lost a stone due to the how much I was sweating during dancing. Thanks Ed and Tom and everyone there for making this such a special night.
