Tonight's going to be a big one. Friend's b-day, rented a hall, basically told me not to bring money or caps or flaps because there will be plenty to go around. Then maybe clubbing after. Don't work until noon.......yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
Just chillin' now, saving some energy, getting psyched....

Darkstar, 6:30am is an early night? Oh to be in the 20-something years. Sigh.
Congratulations on graduating university, irish!! Best way to celebrate is to drink til you can't remember the worst parts about university. ;)

Congrats Thomas!
Yeah, I was obviously being facetious, but none of us wanted to go to bed. We just couldn't get any more party favours.
So, there was a murder in the club I was supposed to go to last night. Second one inside a month. I had friends in there, including the girl I'm kinda seeing. I ended up going to a couple other places, including a club right across the street. There were 8 police cruisers and an ambulance outside when I walked by and we immediately knew murder was the case.
It's getting stupid out here. We had to leave one of the clubs because people were trying to start beef with my friends (who were supposed to be on curfew at home, so couldn't retaliate at all).

^ That's really freaky, Darkstar! It seems like lately, you've had some really close calls at being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Damn.
That sucks things are getting so stupid out where you are. I can see how incidents like the one you mentioned can only lead to the club scene (and the music it's associated with) getting a bad rap.

Well, that club is more associated with a hip-hop crowd. The owner has alleged ties to organized crime and doesn't give a fuck about anything except paper. The crowd in there is largely, at the risk of offending people, drug dealers of various minority groups who will stab you if you look at them funny.
It's a shame because the building is a great venue, a renovated bank from the 1920's, but I just don't go there other than for special occasions or DJ sets.
Life certainly is interesting these days. I keep it at armslength as much as possible and my eyes and ears are always open. I'm not involved in anything so I'm pretty much in the clear but you never know when random shit will happen.
