Friday - drove down to San Diego and spent most of that day in the hospital visiting with my grandparents and brother. Friday night, came home and did squat.



Saturday - 'stash was at work making extra cash for Coachella, I was pretty much at home on here because I have no life. Saturday night - we must've had some bonus sitter points because my mom-in-law took our son for the night. Drove around aimlessly trying to figure out where to go for dinner. Finally had dinner, then went to a coffee shop to use the toilet. Didn't know 'stash wanted coffee too, then we proceeded to get into an argument over "why didn't you get me coffee?" Gave 'stash the silent treatment for about 15 minutes, then we ended up having a nice cup of java at another place and everything was cool. I'm a woman, I'm hormonal, what can I say? Came home, watched one of the drunken commentaries on Orgazmo dvd, got a little tipsy and was feeling pretty good.



Sunday - back down to San Diego with my brother and his wife to visit my grandfather. Afterward we went to this awesome Jewish deli since we're bad Jews and don't bother celebrating passover, but thought we'd make up for it this year by eating at a nice Jewish establishment. Stocked up on macaroons for 'stash and our son, but passed on the chopped liver.



And that folks, is a relatively typical weekend in the life of whirlygirl (minus the visiting hospitals) Exciting, huh? Yeah... I know... *sigh*

Taking a break from working in an office and on-call at the record store, 8 years ago I used to work at this place called Condom Revolution (now called ConRev). I was training to be a manager, but after 3 months I called it a day. I thought it would be a fun job but it got to be a little much and it most definitely was not a good fit. I learned way too much about peoples' sex lives and knew more about some peoples' privates than their own doctors did. A very interesting clientele. Makes for interesting stories, I guess! X-D Anyone was allowed into the store - minors under 18 had to be accompanied by an adult. Although if a younger person, say about 16 came in and wanted to buy condoms we weren't going to kick them out of the store. The back room, where all the naughtiness presided, you have to be 21 and they do check your i.d. I think that's pretty much the law in California.



Sometimes we'd get undercover cops milling about in the store and they'd try to frame us up. You could always tell them a mile away, sometimes it wasn't completely obvious but you could spot their body and eye movements and their queries were a dead giveaway 99% of the time. They'd place these large orders for toys and try to ship them to states where sex toys and stuff are illegal. We'd also get some cops asking for the strangest stuff like bestiality porn and underaged school girl flicks. If anyone asked for stuff like that we reserved the right to boot them from the store - and not one person who wasn't a cop would ask for that. It was kind of empowering to tell a cop, "hey, we don't sell that kind of shit here so get the hell out of my store!"

I told a story on here once, it was in a thread that chem'd up started called "I'm bored" or something like that. It caused a few waves here. That was probably the most outrageous story I've ever shared publically. Of course there are few others - might not be suitable for impressionable eyes/minds!



We did have a few sickos who came into the shop. One time a homeless guy came in and tried drinking the massage oils! And another time this guy in a very nice business suit came in all frantic. He needed directions to this swanky hotel and needed 2 of our best vibrators - he was in for an interesting night with a couple of high class hookers. X-D



Surprisingly, most of the clientele were just normal folks. The women seemed to be more outgoing and knew what they wanted more than the men did. The men would come in and be all modest, but it was the women that laid it on the line.
