GOOD FIND STEFAN! This as close up as you can get I think!

Would of been cool if it was panoramic, but I can picture it in my mind!

One of my friends, under entirely false impression that I'm capable of making any music, got me this for birthday.
Since I don't know shit about music gear, could anyone of you gearheads answer few questions about it?

Hey Sandelic,

What do you want to know about it? how to install or use it?
This is, by the looks of it, a midi keyboard so you need software to actually make some sounds. i think some light/demo versions of software is included with the keyboard so try that out first before you buy an expensive software program.
I think a lot of us on the forum use ableton live because it is one of the more intuitive software programs in this category but I highly doubt we'd all pay for it :)

good luck with your new hobby, and post your first results in the legendary "post your music here" topic
Extended versions of your favourite Chemical Brothers tracks: https://soundcloud.com/cb_extended

Hey Eis-T,
thanks for advice, you're right, it is a midi keyboard but no software came with it (but on manufacturers web it says it does) so I had trouble pairing it with Fruity Loops, only program I have (beside reason), till I discovered that, well, I should use my brain and now it does very easily pair up with it.

Have to say, it is much fun tinkering with it and FL (I forgot how much fun really). Having a keyboard makes tons of stuff easier to do, and if anything comes of it, I'll post it forum. Remember, you heard it here first! Posted Image

I'm using Reaper, for home use it's not expensive.

Yeah, I took me ages to figure out what to connect with what just to get sound out of Reason, so much cables there Posted Image but Reason have real nice sound bank, strings especially. Didn't Ian Brown used it solely to create his last album?

Holy Batman, that might look like their 2011 gear, but look closer! Tom is using the new mixer! So they're testing their equipment for the next tour!

Analog goodness. Old skool Solid Steel fan Aaron met at Barbican synth fest on Sat says: "This is the synth I went all the way to Bologna to bring back for Tom R. I used to listen in 87/88 when You & Patrick were on the pirates(kiss?) and turned me onto the Chuck Brown album sleeper, Game Seven.Nice to put a face to a name after all these years! "
Yes mate.

Do you think "Tom R." Is Tom Rowlands ? :) I don't think there's a lot of Tom R. who can afford to make a Buchla come from Italy.
