I'm serious
If you haven't read my writeup on my time in Miami, you should. If you have, you can imagine that that week didn't come cheap. Although it's almost tempting... I am flying back to Winnipeg for the weekend, what's an extra flight south....? hah. I wish. Although I could, I guess.

Tentative itinerary: Drive to Winnipeg Thursday afternoon. Wolfgang Gartner in Winnipeg Thursday night. Straight from club to airport for 6 AM flight to LAX Friday AM. Arrive LAX around 9:30 AM Pacific time. Need to find ride from LAX to Indio. Arrive Coachella. Carnage x 72 hours. Fly home Monday. Revel in being awesome.

I'm going to need transportation from one of the Southern Cali airports to Indio, if possible. I can fly in LAX, Orange County or Palm Springs on Friday AM for about the same price. So I'm looking to find the smoothest way of getting to Indio without inconveniencing anyone.
Mucho thanks in advance.

Chemical Brothers twice inside 3 weeks, once on each coast. Insane. Batshit insane.
Can't wait to see you all at the Sahara Tent.

There are lots of tickets available online but Madpooter said he thinks he can find me one for a better price locally in the Bay Area, so he's on the hunt for me. Soon as he secures a ticket, I book a flight. This is happening, folks.
So excited to be back in the Sahara Tent, where my international raving adventures began. And to see old friends again and to finally meet some of those I've known so long but never met face to face.

I am relieved it will be under the triple digits. The first year I went it was 112, and in 2001 it was a little hotter than that!! There is no escaping the heat when it's that hot...
In 2009 it was pretty warm as well. American Spriits cigarettes had these smoking tent lounges that were air conditioned, so we spent some time in the one that was in the VIP area when it was high noon on Saturday, and knocked back a couple of cocktails, people watched and eavesdropped on some delightful festival conversation. We went to the other smoking lounges too (there were 2 others if I recall) on the grounds but they were exceptionally crowded. Still a nice way to beat the heat for a little while... If you are a smoker. We were given so many free packs of American Spirit cigs at Coachella 2009! We don't smoke anymore, so if they bring back the air conditioned smoking lounges, we won't be able to allow ourselves to be lured inside no matter how hot it is.

I'm in the practice of drinking more water this week. Doing some more runs and stuff, and staying off sugar (It's hard) till I hit the grass over there. Hopefully it won't be that humid!
But my mind, body, and spirit are in syncing pretty good right now! I'm reserving all this energy to build up for the big day. Today, I did some clothes shopping for the sun, and grabbing the trial size essentials. Got a haircut, finish some bills, and finish the final preps for the ride to Indio.
Only thing that's left is to pick up my rental and filler up! Wouldn't be surprised if gas goes up agian like it did today!
btw...Sahara Tent got an upgrade....Light installations on the ceiling!
these hanging lights will sync to the music!

Also, was that DVD thing just an idle fantasy or are plans actually in the works?
