I'm a lawyer but have taken post graduate studies in european law/european integration also. it has taken me a while to finish it as I teach and work at university also - may diploma just HAD to be excellent, otherwise they would probably not offer me a new contract next term

You don't know how close I was to tell her "It's not working out". But no I have conscious (either that or I'm a doormat). Well it was really more a case I've got other shit to deal right now like trying to push through my 1/4 life crisis and get any job to pay the bills.
Funny enough though posted an ad for a flatmate on a website made for sharehousing and low and behold this potiential new guy to replace the guy thats unfortunately moving out (because of the bad one) knows a friend of mine who used to live here. This new guy was like "Oh cool, you know "blah" that must mean you're normal and decent people" I'm like yes! (and funny enough on the side he runs a website that helps designers get work, unfortunately not enough to live off only a project here and there but thought that was convenient) The other guy thought it was cool to get him in. I don't really care so much what the "bad one" thinks since caused the other move out. If she doesn't like him, she can move out. BOOM!

Sounds hardcore. Studying that as well as lecturing and marking other students work! (And you practice as a lawyer as well?!!)

nah, I am defo not working as a solicitor or anything like that also. that'd be too much and I won't enjoy it anyway. I like the academic career track (at least at the moment) and I do my phd currently. full-time job at uni plus teaching is very time-consuming however, so progress is slow...

Went on a missions trip. It was an awesome experience, incredible to see how different their way of living is. We did a VBS session at a village an hour north of Punta Gorda. Literally there was no facility, just a small wall-less hut too muddy to do anything in. We did our lesson and games out in a little clearing with chickens and other birds just running around the place. Really eye opening to see how happy they were compared with how little they had.
Really sore from traveling and my sunburn is making me look like a tomato, but it was totally worth it.

I've been hanging out with my brother all summer and having a great time here in D.C., but yesterday he decided to be a complete asshole and I'm not sure if I'm going to hang out with him again before I leave.
Nothing to do at work right now, and I may not get anything else in the next two weeks... Bored. Boring. Just want to get back to S.F. now. Damnit.
On the bright side, next month I get to see Digitalism, The Twelves, Deadmau5, !!!, and SMD do a DJ set.

@Whirls: YES!!! THANK YOU!!! Hopefully I'll come out to visit with Caden sometime this year. That'd be awesome.
