Good! The next album will be breaks pop.

Apparently they played a lot of new sounding tunes, tech, techno and breaks.
Unfortunately I couldn't go.

Chems have never been about one sound. Sure there will be a nod to breaks
on the album though, there usually is.

They're not the Plump DJs

It doesn't tracking ID and the beat sounds 100% chemical.

Yep would be really surprised if it wasn't. The build ups are very Chems and the way Tom and Ed are reacting to it draws me to this conclusion.

Well, if it's true, I can pat me on the shoulder once again because I thought so as well. Not so much because of the vocals - they're sort of rather atypical chems - but more because of the way the synths are used and punished throughout that track. Typical chems trademark. Btw, that melody reminds me of saturate a bit.

Reminds me of 'Guy Called Gerald', maybe a little nod to Manchester?

I like this track, although I'm not entirely convinced that it's Chemical. It sounds definitely like it could be their work, expept for the vocals. But yes, I'd love to hear this song on Chem8 Posted Image

Vocals are definately from someone Chems have worked in the past. Tim Burgess, Kele Orkereke or the guy from the pills won't help you now.

I don't imagine Kele would work with the Chems ever again.

He didn't like what they did with his vocal on Believe.

Could possibly be a Klaxons thing? Just the backing vocal sounds a bit like them. Just a thought.

This is probably gonna be my only chance to draw a positive comparison between Avicii and the Chems, so I'm springing on it:

I confirm it for you. Take my word for it! It's chems style. Can't say that I'm really fond of that vocal, though... The track itself sounds unfinished too. Let's see how it eventually turns out.
