It took me a while to grasp how good TPPR was. After I realized this, I was hooked and amazed.

He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

When I heard TPPR for the 1st time, I was listening to "Dig Your Own Hole".

The first time i heard the private psychedelic reel was when radio one broadcast the anti nazi mix. the mix was played as part of there 'listen without prejudice' week (probably thats why it's called A-N mix). i had just been on the phone to my mate BD, who is a big beatles fan saying something along the lines of 'did you hear how they dropped sargent pepper??'. after that i heard the most beautiful piece of music i have ever heard. the whole mix had been the most exciting and exhilarating hour of music i have honestly ever heard. and TPPR seem to be the perfect summation of everything that preceded it. but i didn't know what it was at the time!!

fast forward a week and a bit, it was a monday morning and i was at work. i sneaked out the shop i worked at morning tea break to go to the local virgin store. today was the day that 'dig your own hole' was released. luckily for me rather than working a whole day at work before listening to this work of art, virgin had dig your own hole on some listening posts. i didn't have much time and quickly scanned through the album to get a taste. then i got to track 11, the private psychedelic reel. ever since then i have had a love affair with this tune. even today TPPR is still my favorite piece of music. there is nothing out there that come remotely close to it.
