Your love keeps lifting me...
Defined a little more formally, "escape velocity" is the initial speed required to go from an initial point in a gravitational potential field to infinity with a residual velocity of zero, with all speeds and velocities measured with respect to the field

Ed didn't want links to audio rips on here. He (and Tom) have the final say when it comes to their art.
This should be quoted everytime the issue comes up. Ever.
The Brothers come in here every once in a while and treat us like peeps, so we should definitely show them respect in return.
Gonna work it out...

I do understand, and respect the Brothers choice but I think music is about sharing so more and more people can hear it, which will ultimately be better for the Brothers as they'll build a bigger fan base due to more people hearing it. Not everyone's is just an outright Internet bastard pirate, some of us use .mp3's to sample music before we go spend our hard earned cash on possible tripe.

All valid points. My opinion is: their house, their rules.
Personally, I strongly believe in the benefits of music sharing and, erm...testing... before I buy, but I will do it elsewhere (or via email in the case that I can help a forum member out). Although I don't believe we've got Internet bastard pirates in the core group, not everyone follows the "don't be a dick" rule based on the honor system alone.
As in most cases, a few jerkoffs ruin a good thing for the rest of us.
Gonna work it out...

Well said. I think the core of us who really follow the chems buy pretty much everything we can. So neither Tom nor Ed think we're distributing their stuff. But, enough people come in to the forum randomly... and who wants their stuff "stolen" ? So, it makes sense.
Doesn't mean we can't share off-line. Hell, how many cassette bootlegs have I passed along in my day? I will always support an artist I respect.
and down with the jerkoffs. (ooph that sounds bad)
