Thats right folks, but it wont be the chems sweeping, itll be the electronic band "Particle" My brother is a big Particle fan and we saw a track listing of theirs with "Denmark" by it. We couldnt believe it was the same Denmark my bro's band covered for kicks a year before Particle released their cover. The cover, just weeks old now, features some key elements of the track, but however I feel doesnt do the chems much justice. Take a listen to it.

for some reason the concept of 'covering' electronic tracks seems completely lame to me.

Eh, well they are an electronic band. They arent bad, its just a cover, we all enjoy hearing some songs redone. But then sometimes we rather some songs untouched.

isn't a remake of an electronic song by another electronic act called a 'remix'?

Depends whether you sample it or completely remake it, all the parts etc.

You can cover electronic songs. Orbital covered Doctor Who, I never think of that as a remix.

I heard Soulwax doing "Rocker" from Alter Ego in their live show. On keyboards & samplers. And exactly the same. So yes it's possible to cover an electronic track with electronica.

I wouldnt say it was a cover, they sampled it and put there beats on it, i would prefere to say a remix.

Word

To remix is to take a a recording and reconstruct a track from it or with it.

To cover or remake a track is to work all the elements on your own from the ground up
