Chuff. This place sure is boring as of late. It's not like you guys have better things to do right? Or did I miss some sort of 'Boycott the old forum' thread?

And give mod rights. Less people = more spam.

I wouldn't say there's much spam here lately. Everytime I open the board, I see 5-6 spam threads... 7-8 at most. And they get de|eted very quicky once spotted.

So I suppose we can keep the forum going by complaining more about the spam. ;) Anyway. anType is right about the spam. When I log on to delete there isn't near as much work to do and the spam bots aren't infiltrating existing threads. So I'm grateful for that. But spam still comes and goes and maybe that's a turn off for people stopping by before the mods have a chance to get rid of it.

And how does it feel like to see spambots are no fun?

And how does it feel like to chuff on everyone?

How does it feel like to let the forum be?

And how does it feel like to spend a little lifetime sifting through the clutter?

That's what I've been thinkin too - Give more people mod rights and there will be less spam. But then again the alternative question is - who do you give the rights too?

To me it feels like there's less spam over the recent days/weeks since the mod accounts have been recovered. Or am i deciving myself?

Theres definately been an improvement as far as Im concerned like, but there is some Spamage going down but hopefully one day it'll be a thing of the past, but the moderators are doing a sweet job.

Still some complaints here and there though and I think if there was more mods then there would be less spam thus less complaints - Im not one to complain, but I dont like it when there is too much spam - I can't pick out threads that actually matter and it annoys me, so I just click 'X'. But the way things are - its bearable.

It's funny, because I always take a peak when I'm on the net, and most of the time I'm the only one who's around, with no-one to be seen. It can take hours before someone makes a new post, while all the spam is adding up. Maybe this is what prevents us from getting (more) new members. They see all the rants and spam and think: 'will they notice my posts between all the spam' or 'this forum sucks, there isn't even an admin around to deal with things' etc. Might be a bit farfetched to some but I know there's some truth in that. Give me modpowah's and I'll make sure all the spam gets deleted quick and fast. You might consider this a bad idea (looking at my past here), but think about it: if I would abuse those powers, I'd be in serious chuffing trouble, no kidding. And getting a pissed off Whirly after your ass ain't fun, I can tell ya! I like this forum and although I can be a horrible prankster: this forum deserves better. So you better appoint a few extra mods for cleaning duties, or you could give me the password, and I'll make sure the forum is clean when n00bs are around the place.

I've been ranting on and on about me being a mod - I'd gladly help out with Mod duties.

There is not much spam lately - thats why i am on this board again instead of Bens ( amazing ) forum. The mods are doing fantastic - i try to clean up some spam every now and than but i'm sure u all understand that as i am living of internet cafe's thats not so easy.

Stop complaining - at least we can use this one again and changes are on the way. And Slipvin - when i am in Holland i have the same , i dont see people online for hours sometimes. But here in Oz even more cause i am in a different time zone than most of you!

Oh behaaaaaave! I remember when you two were the united front against trolls once upon a time!

Slipvin, my temper is vesuvian and the anger is quick to ignite, but it's a pretty short fuse that burns out fast. ;) I'm just the type of person who prefers it when everyone can get along. It leads to good times further down the line.

The spam is definitely much cleaner during US/ Europe timings - but I login around evening/ night here (IST - +5.5 GMT) and mornings and see loads of spam still.

I think I'm the only fan on the forums from these parts of the world - the closest others are (were) Jeanie outta Holland, n Consumer from Aussieland - all very far off time zones.

But yes, things are definitely better and let's get this forum back in some action!
