I just didn't get Napolean Dynamite... I think it was 'supposed' to be like the triumph of the geek, but watching felt like it was just making fun of geeks. The title character never rises above the level of pathetic.

I don't know why but it was so heartwarming and just made me happy and giddy to watch. After ten minutes, I commented "If it continues exactly like this for the remainder of the film it will be one of the best movies I've ever seen". And it did.

The ending reminds me of The Golden Path video, I think.

And the dance sequence to Jamiroquai's 'Canned Heat' is stellar. One of the finest moments in cinematic history. I wish I had a video copy of my rendition of that at a Pharmacy beer'n'skits from last year. Video and photos do exist, I just don't have them.

Watched Jackass 2 last night. I could have done without the shorn scrotums and the feces, but midgets, retards and monkeys will always be funny.

Watched Scarface for the first time. Amazing movie. Fantastic performance by Pacino. Killer soundtrack by Moroder. Sweet.

Coolio. The game looks shit unfortunatly. They set it after the first film :? idiots. Anyway, Scarface is great. Al Pachino shines. To many full stops I feel.

Watched The Exorsist last night for the first time (original). It's a good film, but a tad disturbing. A 12 year old saying lick my cunt? That's messed up!

haha, totally agree bout napolean dynamite - it was the most brilliant film ever conceptualised and made. ever.

watched layercake last weekend, was decent, didn't do much for me. might be the same school of film makin n same producer, but i somehow just dont stand a chance anywhere close to the lock stocks n the snatch's.

that dickhead lead actor could actually be his minimalistic best in this film, unlike the bond film where i just didnt find him anything more than scenery.

I must say that the first one was awful, but putting the Silver Surfer in this one makes it way too tempting to go see after it comes out.

It labled itself right in the movie. a chessy corny romantic comedy. And I'm a sucker for those movies :? :-//

Le Mans - Steve McQueen!!!!

Grand Prix - MONACO!!!

Saboteur - HITCHCOCK!!!

I saw that ad too... I loved the Silver Surfer when I was a kid (and his rip off, Rom the Space Knight) but they fucked up the first flick so badly, I don't know how the new one could be any good.

Just started watching Rome on HBO, pretty good.

I've watched, in the past 6 or so days, the entire Indiana Jones trilogy, From Hell, Team America, a couple Bill Hicks sets I own, a few episodes of That's My Bush, The Rules of Attraction, some football (soccer) on TV, some various other shows.

When I haven't been out partying, I've been glued to that couch resting.

Sweeeeet. Steve McQueen rocks (though admittedly I haven't seen his films lately). Best car chase in a movie ever is the one from Bullitt. Navigating the streets of San Francisco is terrifying as it is let alone driving like a nut down all those steep hills. The Mustang Fastback in Bullitt is drool worthy.

Having been a fan of the book(s), I wasn't expecting much of the cinematic take - but I was pleasantly surprised and quite pleased with the film. Didn't cry in the movie but the story was one of the few books that did make me a little teary eyed at the end.

Darkstarexodus is a big fan of David Lynch!

I really liked Elephant Man (which is tear jerker central), Wild At Heart and Blue Velvet (somewhat hot and cold with that one). I'm a bit critical of David Lynch. I think he has great style, something I've noticed about the way he films scenes is that everything in the picture embodies near perfect symmetry. So as a viewer, your eye is drawn to events taking place center-screen. Also he has great use of light and dark, high impact filmmaking. I find that impressive from an art direction pov. But what drives me insane are the lingering shots - it's like, enough already we get the picture can we get to the next scene please? Anyway - last film I saw of his was Mulholland Drive. Maybe I'm dense or was scatter brained when I saw it... but that film lost me along the way, somehow. Maybe I just needed to be stoned or something. It was engaging don't get me wrong, the acting was great - but with all the praise that film got I guess I was expecting too much going into it.
