I don't like the microkorg.... it even _looks_ weak.

those big korgs though, wow. you can spend a lot of time playing with them....

microkorg just seems very useless -- there are much more capable soft synths that fit it's purpose with such flexibility. and with the power of midi out from soft sequencers... really you can use a nice big piece of gear to its great potential and get _really_ patchy...

Has anyone tried a Korg Radias ? Is it any good ? What about his "Micro" version, the R3 ?

The MP3 is lousy though. It sounds better on my speakers live

@Biff : I'm looking for the ultimate disto to go with my Juno. Do you have any demos of a synth going through the Big Muff ? I'd like to hear what it sounds like

no, it broke, I fuckin miss that thing!!! I'm going to buy another one though. right now I have the ms2000, m-audio axiom, korg polysix, boss bass synth, and some misc software applications, aside from a shit load of guitar stuff and effects. not many synths, but I've been very specific with the ones i buy since I've owned dozens before and always sell them off because they don't really hit the types of sounds I'm looking for (i.e. the Nord Lead was the poster child of that)

did you test Korg Legacy with the MonoPoly ? Is it good ? Cause I think I'm going to take it sooner or later (if it's not cracked yet)

haven't tried it yet, but the mono had such an analog presence that it'd be hard to emulate, i've heard the polysix and it's kinda flat and too clean polished (like 95% of soft synths)

I think they're pretty amazing synth though I haven't played much with them yet.

Keep us posted with your newest Juno sounds ;-)

picking up a nord micromodule tomorrow. woot-woot! should make a good counter-balance to the soft sounds of a ms2000, by putting some of those rough nord sounds in. might trade it in for a regular one in the future but for now it should be good times. Kinda like the idea cause I have a laptop and am often away from home, so it'll be nice to have a synth that small.

and Ben_j, I'll still up the distortion demos soon, it need to dust of my synth stuff, not as easy as it sounds...

Awesome ! I want to get a micromodular sometime soon too (probably after christmas). But I first have to update my computer and get a laptop (probably a MacBook)

I did an improvisation with a couple of sounds yesterday. I messed with a breakbeat sample, used the Juno (kinda) as a bassdrum and Rollin & Scratchin style. But still, the disto of my soundcard's DSP really take off a lot of warmt to the sound...

it's on my Myspace : http://myspace.Com/SBRK ("Do not")
