yeh, that was an exciting finale to the trial - i dunno, but when all of jacksons family were going through the meetal detector and u saw latoyah jackson having her bag searched, she looked so uncomfortable and u could see the defence lawyer trying to stand in front of the camera, i dunno, it just felt like a proper violation, i mean what good is it doing us to see them going through that when her brother might be about to be sent down for being a pedo?? i dunno, all of a sudden it just felt a bit wrong, and u kind of realise that this isnt theatre and peoples lifes are changing at that moment.

as for innocent or guilty i dont think we'll ever really know - whatever the situation the man clearly has problems and i hope his family give him a proper talking to, and just ban him from having such close unaccompanied contact with children.

it does appear that the avizho's (or whatever theyre called) we're out for megabucks though, and in its own way thats pretty sick - using alleged pedo to try and squeeze some cash out of someone. hmmm.

I actually heard a report that one of the jury said something like "I'm sure something dodgy was going on, you don't sleep in the same bed with children not related to you for years and nothing happen. It's not like they sat in bed eating popcorn watching TV all the time, something must have gone on. But there wasn't the evidence in this case"

An interesting statement, I thought!!

No jail time, guaranteed. Is this just the verdict and not the sentencing (ie. will the sentencing take place at a later date?)?

It wasn`t so much that the jury thought Jackson innocent as they just couldn`t give any credence to Janet{the mother of the accusing boy}.She didn`t in my opinion prepare her-self and her son any where near enough, she should have been much more aware of the fact that this was the second bite of the cherry in setting Jackson up as a mark. She has gotten way to greedy in the litigation game and become a "serial suer". The family should have called it a day the first time round.

he's innocent end of. people just wanted him to be guilty so that they could enjoy the spectacle of it all unfold on the tele. for one i think he was set up to a degree, hes the kind of character that is easy to take advantage of, from the documentary with bashir. but now hes innocent and a free man, with no charges, so i think we shud just all leave him alone.

Yes, the Martin Bashir programme was very unfair - Jackson agreed to take part in the documentary, Bashir spent a couple of weeks being nice to him, then came out and slated him.

I reckon he'll leave the US and keep his private life secret, but then can he afford to be a recluse? Apparently he's nearing bankruptcy.
