Hi all

I came home lunchtime from work, my girlfriend was there and I said I don't care what happens, I have to see the Chems new show and I'd love it if you came with me.....She said yes!! Woo hoo! She even booked the tickets, i'm over the moon, i wanted to burst at work!! Last saw them at Wolverhampton in 2005, great show, but from what I've seen on Youtube etc, it looks like the best shows ever! Anyone else going!?

My life is a boat, being blown by you. With nothing ahead, just the deepest blue... To me you're like a setting sun. You rise then you're gone.

Not going to Brum VMan but going the following night in Glasgow.I hear they're doing a shortened set in Birmingham coz they're saving themselves for the next night.Ah no only joking man relax!Saw you got no replies re Birmingham so didnt want you to feel let down. This will be my third time to see them this tour after Amsterdam and Ireland so that should tell you something.Hope you and your girl enjoy the gig.

Haha, nice one Buffett, thanks for the light hearted reply, and yeah im so gullable you did have me going there for a second!!! Be my 3rd time too, Glasgow should be good, though i dod feel for you as you get Slam, we get Simian, who no offence are more my cuppa...never the less I do like Slam. Alien Radio was great.

VMan, I am so happy you are getting to see the Chems this time around. I hope by the time the show is over, your girlfriend will be 100% converted! :)

Look VMan, I wouldnt mind if Roger Whittaker was the support act so long as the CHEMS are the main one!I take it from your initial post that your girlfriend either doesnt really know the Chems or isnt that bothered about them or something as there was a definite element of surprise in the tone of your post in that she's agreed to go.I presume you'll ensure she's familiar with a few of the tunes beforehand but she'll probably be surprised by the fact that its not all thump thump thump, and there is some great melody going on too.As well as the sheer beauty of something like Surface To Air.

There for a second VMan, it seemed like you had asked the lass to marry you and she said yes...

or at least that is the excitement level that I got from the original post!

Birmingham - the city of huge breasts, minus nice personalities.

Yeah my mrs has a good idea of what the chems are about, I always have them on in my car so I'm hoping when she see's the live show, she will be fully converted, I know this has been the case for many people!

And Seth, if she was to blow me away with half the knowledge I have for the Chems, I'd drop the question right there and then, the perfect woman!?

ANy new peeps going then!? Sorry, but im just to excited!! Me and my girlfriend are counting the days now!! I hope the intro is similar to the Antwerp gigs, the way the intro lingers that little bit longer and the 'Don't hold back' lyric rings over the top, i got goosebumps just watching youtube! It's now in my faves and I watch everyday...I hope I don't faint or do a poo when the time comes to Push the Button!!!! :-)
