Very nice egil i liked the strings (orkestra refill?) sounded quite daft punk in places and although the mix was quite eclectic they mixed into eachother nicley i thought..... nice one :D

if Surface to Air is reading this, I REALLY think we should make this thread sticky. It would save us a lot of "listen to my (done in five minutes using cheap software) SUPER EXTRA chems remix" threads...



(this is not directed at anyone, I, sadly, doesn't have enough time to listen to all the music people contribute with, but I do notice that on most websites offering homemade music, there is a lot of lazy cheap crap...

(Well, Human after All is lazy cheap crap too, so there is still hope... ;-) )

Egil nice samples but its obvious your song needs more structure. You?ve definitely displayed some creativity but the song has no backbone or underlying melody. You need a producer to put your ideas onto additional layers of rime. I think I can help you with that.

I don't know a shit about how to compose a song with verse, refrain and all that... Any help is greatly appreciated.

You just work your way around it.

when you start producing, you're all excited and throw a lot of ideas together, and cal it a track, but that's not how it works....



a basic, cool, (and moreover interesting) thing to do is to sit down with a notepad, while listening to a tune you like and just writing(actually, drawing) down the structure...like two bars of intro -bass kicks in, then...



do this for a few songs you really like and you'll see them from a different angle..



welle then,



You'll see patterns emerging..... and now, you'll be able to create your structure...

Hey guys, long time no see! It's cool to see that the thread I made almost a year ago is still visible on the first page of the index ;-) . Anyways, I was just messing around last night and I made this really slow, classical-ish, hip-hop wanna be song. It's pretty bland right now so I was curious to see if anyone on this thread wanted to add scrathing or something else to give it a little more color. Who knows, maybe this could be a whole group project or something :D . Oh ya, and kutos to whoever knows what song it sounds like. Hint: the artist is from my city. And I thought I was so original! :x . Enjoy y'all.
