One of these days, we'll go ape at a Chems gig together. One of these days...
No, you and stash are coming to Turnmills dammit! Even if we have to have a whipround on the forum to pay your fares. You've just gotta be there.

Well, a trip for the both of us (airfare) would be well over $1000.
We would only be able to stay in the UK for a couple of days - real jet-set style! Hotels, even the crummy ones will cost us a pretty penny.
Hotel prices and airfare change daily, and especially leading up to NYE, they will only be getting more expensive.
Then there's the actual Turnmills Golden Tickets!
The good news is at least I have New Year's Day off since I won't be in retail.
I'll have to check prices on priceline.com or expedia later on today when I'm not in a rush to get out the door and off to work!

'stash and Whirly, I'll split a hotel with you so long as you don't make me participate in humilating sex games like last time. Only the non-humilating sex games this time. 8O

you guys probably wouldnt even need to stay in a hotel, you could probably try a hostel.. I donno much about the traveling stuff like seein im only 15, but i mean its london the Hotels must be cheap :/ well the one i went to was :D
And sure if not then share one with darkstar :D
I know im not going and all but this will ease the length of time you guys have been waiting for the chems to return.. and what better way to celebrate their return than a NYE party :D

Actually, London is one of the most expensive cities in the world to find a hotel in, Foxboy. Or so says one of the travel books I read yesterday.
And it's a little different for me to hostel in a room with a bunch of strangers than 'stash and Whirly, who will have spicy hot Thai jungle monkey sex before and after the Chems.

Still, it adds up pretty fast. Looking at a bare minimum of $45 Canadian/American per night for a private room at a hostel. Over 5 to 7 days, that's at least $200. Which really isn't that expensive, but when you're pressed to the max to afford it...... That's why I'll probably just get a bed in a dorm room.

You all know how badly I want to go to this New Year's Eve party with 'stash... and it's so sweet of you all to think of ways of including us this year. It really affirms my belief that Chemical Brothers fans are the best, most kind hearted people in the world and I'd love nothing more than to be at this giant party welcoming 2006.
It's just that now may not be the right time.
I don't want to be a downer, but there are some obstacles (other than the immediate financial situation) that may be standing in our way. I don't want to get into everything now because I don't want this thread to revolve around me and stash's predicament, plus my current life affairs will likely bore you all and put a damper on what's such a beautiful thread that's so exciting because I can feel the joy and happiness coming through from all the people that are going to NYE. I don't want everyone to think I'm being a complete fatalist, and in truth I'm not writing off any NYE possibilities just yet, I just want to be as realisitic as I can about the situation...
Believe me, stash and I have been musing over the phone about jet setting outta California on the 29th, landing in London and rushing to the club, and flying home directly after the gig. But we're just musin and dreamin.
