Nerdy, you're afraid? You seem hardly like the kind of person I would associate with the word "shy" or afraid. One day, Nerdcore. One day our paths will cross! I'm hoping it will be at the next Chems gig we're both attending!!

Hey, no worries about that. My life is sometimes the epitomy of "oh shit, something came up and I can't make it" so it's totally understandable. I feel so bad when that happens but what can one do? Things come up, and no matter how much I try to avoid drama, it manages to snake its way into my life at the most inopportune of times!

Bizarre feeling right now. I was looking up a local music production school and came across a link to a girl I used to know, who's now making her way up the Canadian music scene (singer/songwriter/piano). Used to be quite into her in highschool, but got tired of not knowing where I stood with her and had other, more interesting options. Hadn't seen her since last summer. Turns out she's moved to Toronto and her career is doing well. Watched a performance video on her website and she is looking even more fit (man, is she ever...) than I remember. Good voice, too. Truly bizarre feeling.

Finding old friends on the internet is always bizarre... Did I tell you about finding this girl I knew in highschool, who'd become a porn star? That was surreal.

That is weird! And the longer life is, the weirder it gets. Well, that's really great for this girl. It really must be awesome to be working your way up to the heights of your dreams

I went to high school with this guy named Taylor Hawkins. Last I saw him was about 11 or 12 years ago in front of a bank atm - so we chatted for a bit catching up and he said he was getting ready to tour with a saxophone player... I forget her name. Anyway, it was no surprise that he was chasing that dream of being a drummer. And he was being the same old cool cat Taylor I knew in high school.

Then he sort of disappeared and I didn't see him around town at all. One day, I was flipping through an old copy of People magazine or something, and saw a picture of him holding hands with Minnie Driver. I thought, holy shit, I know that guy!! Sure enough the caption said, "Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters..." I near about crapped my pants. I knew who the Foos were but because I didn't listen to them, I had no idea he was even in the band! It just trips me out thinking about it, it's even weirder to see him in videos and on magazine covers. I'm really, really happy for his success - partly because he was always really cool to me in school and always had nice things to say about my drawings and poetry and stuff. He was always into being a musician and it's awesome to see that dream's come true for him.

It's still friggen weird though!!
