Dang it, I really want to watch this but the link is really slow and taking forever to loooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
When U2 was touring for Achtung Baby, they used to have a video of George Bush Senior singing "We Will Rock You" by Queen (just that line over and over as a song intro).

hahah :D Coldcut should use that in their live, with all their other Bush and Blair sentances.
I think I can remember what you were talking about whirly : it was in ZOO TV tour ? I think they used it in their last tour, didn't they ?

Yeah, it was for the Zoo TV tour. The much larger than life image of Bush was very Orwellian on the stage, and that steady "boom boom clap" got a thunderous response with thousands of people stomping their feet in unison - it was eruptive, very impressive. Here's a You Tube link to the GB1 clip:

This was back when U2 were more than vocal about American right wing politicians. I saw them a number of times during that tour, and each night they'd phone the White House trying to get ahold of George Bush. Never did get past the switchboard operator!
