Saw Deadmau5 here last night and it was possibly the best set I've ever seen. Tiny venue here (~225 ppl), packed to rafters on a Wednesday, I was completely sober, I destroyed that dancefloor worse than I ever have before. My clothes needed to be rang out afterwards from sweat.

Absolutely a thrilling, banging set from start to finish with some great Ableton work. I was expecting a great set but was completely blown away.

Rynostar, you had better be seeing them in Edmonton tonight or something is wrong with you. Edmonton Event Centre is going to go off tonight. If I could, I'd fly there to catch tonight's show.

Never heard of them before. Maybe that's because they're Canadian residents. Anyway, their myspace sound is pretty sweet.I dig it. Quite a good tip.

Oohh, listening to Brazil right now. Wicked!!!

Checking them out, too--Brazil is quite the epic one! When the drum track comes in it reminds me of UNKLE.

Well well well--I'm off to see him on Saturday! Found out a friend of mine is going, so I'm going to be seeing him at Ruby Skye here in SF.

I've been on the Mau5 tip for about a year now but my god, the number of sweet tracks he's managed to string together recently is insane.

The way the crowd went off when he dropped 'Not Exactly' was one of the best responses I've ever seen. Like Chems-dropping-Believe-in-live-set big crowd response.

Really nice guy too, down to earth.

Sorry to ruin your week, Ryno...

I had class early the next day too but decided to force it and it was one of those great decisions.

I was at the show here with a couple buddies from Edmonton and they couldn't stop talking about how much they wished they could make it back home for the next night. I came pretty close to going on Expedia when I got home at 4 AM. :)

lol....well my week isn't ruined yet.....cause

it is my birthday today. YES! I am planning to be a little (just a little) narcissistic all day.

It would ave been sweet to go.....but not at edmonton events center. maybe pawn shop. EEC is terrible for Dj sets. Though i am going to see Gogol Bordello in October to relive my druken mangled euphoric 4am experience that i had with them at fuji rock on the saturday night after underworld. WOOT WOOT!

Happy bday then! Tear it up this weekend!

I'm also going on a big night out tonight. I've cleared a lot of bullshit out of my life, secured finances, gotten my head on straight (for how long though, we'll see!), things are fantastic right now, so tonight's the launch night of Darkstar v.6.9! Big things ahead! :P

Just got back from seeing Deadmau5. Fucking EEEEEEEEXCELLENT!

I had an amazing time tonight, and that man has some awesome energy. Quite the talented soul, indeed.

Yeah, he's definetly one of the big names right now. Star of the year, far as I'm concerned.

right now, DeadMau5 is live on Stickam, and he's doing a remix of Zelda Theme live on FL Studio and his Cwejman synth. It's just priceless

He moved on to Ableton Live now though

I missed this thread the first time around. I really enjoy a lot of Deadmau5's work...tracks, remixes, sets..good times.

I saw him in Dour. It was quite boring. The tracks are way too long. He only plays 2 tracks in 15mn. But anyway he's a great producer, and what I saw today strongly confirmed that

His set was high energy when I saw him, but I only stayed for 2/3 of it. It lagged about halfway in--his slower tracks of cliché house are absolutely forgettable.
