hey everybody,

i fell upon push the button by chance a few months ago and have swiftly fallen in love with it.

however, now im looking for a new chems album to buy and i dont know which one would the best fit...

i'm looking for an album that has the same flow and sound as "marvo ging", "hold tight london" and "surface to air".

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

-david

Yes, I think Surrender it's the right choice if you haven't got We Are The Night.

Yeah, I agree. Based on the tracks you've listed, Surrender or We Are The Night are the way to go.

Start with Surrender and then move on to Whirly's suggestion. ;-)

With each album you'll find another direction which is different, but they're all just phenomenal.

Yeah, I agree with the "Start off with Surrender" suggestions.

I would hold back on We Are The Night though. After Surrender, I would get Dig Your Own Hole. Then go and get any album, but save WATN for the last.

dude, seriously, you can go forward or backward from Surrender, that is the median, the golden moment, IMO, of the chems..... I'd even say get Surrender before getting the newest, WATN.

Mmmmmm.... Surrender....

Does anyone else think the Chems were trying to get us to convert to Islam with that album?

If he liked Push The *Barf* Button, then go for Come With Us.

I think We Are The Night or Surrender are probably the most similar to Push the Button, although I think both albums are probably better than PTB.

Here's the thing. He said he liked Marvo Ging, Hold Tight London and Surface to Air (he's got style). I think Surrender is going to have the most songs with that type of groove.

Here's another option. Go to iTunes (or wherever) and check out the following songs: The Private Psychedelic Reel, The Sunshine Underground, The Test, and The Pills Won't Help You Now. Let us know which you like and we can think about this some more.

Whirly and some others said it best. You can't go wrong with any of their albums and you'll probably get hooked pretty easily.

Also, they do have a singles collection which has some killer tracks. It won't give you the complete album experience like, say, We Are The Night, but it will give you an overview of the ChemBros' progression from 93-03.

Just let us know which way you go and what you end up liking the best.

Alright thanks for the suggestions satur8, heres the rank...

The Test

The Sunshine Underground

The Private Psychedelic Reel

The Pills Won't Help You Now

The reason i like "The Test" the most is because of the sweet mix between the voice and the awesome beat.

im gonna check out Surrender sometime late today

You are going to fall in love with Surrender. But don't judge the album by the first few songs. The second half is the psychedelic portion. Although, music response is my favorite track of the album.
