sampling is ok, if the artists make something different from the orignal, if they add to the original and make it better. the chems have done it alot.

But with robot rock it just seems far to blatant for me to swallow

i think you'll find most bands will sample songs, look at the prodigys albums, usually all built on samples, samples of songs that were either really successful, or really crap. i personally dont think anyone can slander daft punk for doing something a bit different to their norm. 8)

I think its cause the mods were getting pissed off with all the crap on there. Now they have a forum but its more exclusive. Im not a member! ;-)

Heard Robot Rock For The First time yesterday, It is a great track. The simplicity of the guitar hook sells it to me, funky and hard. Very slow not sure how you could really dance to it mind.

Just in case some people would want to give a listen to some of the original tracks Young_fan mentioned : CLICK. Of course many artists sample songs, The Chems do, but when the new song is nothing but a loop of the first 30 seconds of the original piece (cf. Robot Rock ), I think we have the right to complain. It won't prevent people from buying it anyway.



By the way, if you have a link I'm quite interested in hearing the tracks you mentioned ziadoz. Could be fun. ;)
