I was perusing ebay today and happened to stumble on this find: http://cgi.ebay.com/...1&category=1561, that's right the b-side of the golden path single is called Nude Night, and a title like that tells the listener they're about to hear something really special

He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

As I said, there would have been more noise about that then. Out Of Control features Bernhard Sumner for example, but the b-sides don't.

I still don't get why so many of you foam at the mouth of the thought of the Lips, can someone clue me in or is it just because he's central American, not electronic, nor a big influence on the chems? Tom and Ed said they enjoyed working them and really think well of the track. I listened it going to work in me car today and is a great driving track (the whole singles cd album really is), it's got the synth bouncing around every which way.
Down to business. The reason this single says featuring the flaming lips is probably the contract. One example would be those stiffs who own Oasis, way back when setting sun came out the chems had trouble getting noel to be able to work with them, their final agreement was that they could not advertise that he was from oasis nor could he be in the music video. I presume the Lip's record company were like "ehh whatever" thus we see their name as a feature, and good marketing of course. I also don't get why anyone has suspicion that the lips do the B-side too which I know would be dreaded since the lips are like Yoko Onos on the chems. The song probably an instrumental or some kinda spin off like out of control to enjoyed, although I could totally see golden path being called nude night if there were no lyrics

I hope Nude night isn't just an instrumental of TGP. I remember buying Daft Punk's Digital Love and was disappointed to find that Digital dub was just an instrumental to Digital love :-|. If they're going to make an instrumental of The golden path I'd rather they just came out and said it!
