The Movie industry decides to appropriate tracks from thier catalog and then forever after dumbass's call it by the movie name.

It isn't always that way, sometimes music is done just for the movie, as it happened with Spawn's movie which has a great sountrack.

Most people I know just say "I loved the song from X movie", but they don't call that song or group with the same name of the movie.

I think that there's nothing bad with the Chem Bros doing some music for soundtracks or giving their music for a soundtrack.

I really like when new movies are released and they have songs that are already 7 years old, as the movies that have music from The Prodigy's The Fat of the Land. ;)

Buuuuut.... From what I have previewed of the new album, It really does have a kind of Nostalgic? feel to it. It's the chems but it feels like something they were trying to emulate from a time before they were famous. Before bigbeat and Chemical... Something very akin to Acid House.

no it doesn't

Chems Bros get commisioned to do remix for Bjork. Bjork rejects the mix. The duo like what they did so much that they buy it off her to put on the album as the track dyoh.

Ok...

but in the end, is there any samples or bits from the orginal Bjork song appearing on the track? I don't remember anything being mentioned in the credits... I wonder if you really have to "buy it off" as long as you do not use any material from the original.

This is very interesting. Does anyone have links with more info about this?
