Congrats to you, Jittem!!! :D

OK, I am officially done with the holidays! hahaha

The week isn't over yet and it's as though it's cyber Monday freight train missed the station and is going full freakin steam ahead at my job. I guess that's a good thing as it means I am needed at my job. And the time goes by quicker. At this rate, it will be 2010 before I know it so that's not a bad thing. I've quite had enough of 2009.

But anyway.

I keep seeing commercials for the movie Avatar. Is it just me or am I not alone in thinking that movie looks like a hot steamy pile of cheese?

I don't know about cheese, but I don't foresee it being good, which is a shame because apparently James Cameron spent a great deal of time and money on that film.

I'm in Portland sick with strep throat. This isn't fun. :-(

Good one, Jittem!

I'll vouch that the previews of Avatar stink of limburger.

And I'm sick too Poot's. I've gone from soar throat, to hacking up a lung, to blowing snot bubbles, all in one week. My face muscles hurt from blowing my nose so much. Not to mention a badly chapped philtrum.

Heh...+1 for the use of snot bubbles and philtrum in the same thought, Bosco.

Feel better everyone.

sore* throat..... although I bet a soaring throat would be much more interesting.

@ Satur8, doesn't it suck to go through so much kleenex? what a waste....

@Jittem: THUMBS UP! And man, the Beetroots make me feel old. Awesome energy, but it's just a little too rough for my tastes.

@Bosco: :-( Sounds like you're worse than I am.

I'm feeling unmotivated about life right now. I'm counting down the days until the sun starts to stay later in the sky again...

The seasonal downturn is syncing with the momentum of my life. But the good news is that the light is just around the corner... :)

I kind of wanna say that Avatar could be of the Velvetta kind but I'm gonna check it out anyway. And if turns out to be crap, I'll let you guys know before you blow 10 bucks.

Bosco, you need two BIG wads of kleenex up your nose and let it stay there for awhile until it drains your entire mucus factory. And if your gonna blow your nose, use a pillowcase. The kleenex just makes my nose chapped

C'mon Poots! You gotta try motivating yourself. Try learning crochet, it's really neato, and you can make cool blankies and sell them. Or how about watching a good Uwe Boll movie from Netflix, that might cheer you up. Or even better, http://www.i-am-bore...m?link_id=45503

Get well guys!

Aw, thanks inchemwetrust. :D

Also, I'm going to be back down in the SoCal area and I'm going to try to fit in more visits with more peeps. w0000000t. I'll hit you up if I manage some time, which is likely. :)

Sorry to read people are not feeling well. There is now an abundance of the N1H1 shot and I went to the clinic to get one today but they had just closed - so I have to go back tomorrow or early next week.

Speaking of other healthcare related issues, since I effed up my back, I've gone to the acupuncturist twice and I'm feeling great! Acupuncture, for the win! Now I just need to convince my employer to buy me a new desk chair because I think that is part of the reason my back stayed so messed up for so long.

As for seasonal depression - I hear ya. This can be a tough time of year, especially with the New Year coming up. For every New Year's resolution and for all the promise a New Year can bring, there's reflecting on the past year - and the bad things reflected on... basing your future troubles by borrowing trouble from your past - that can bring a person down. Me personally, I just try not to dwell on it. I have some good positive support that really helps put things in perspective when I start to get down on my life or whatever. This time of year can be really tough...

But anywho. I'm going to hit up 2012 tonight. I think some good old fashioned disaster porn on a massive screen sounds like good fun.

Even better Whirls is one those Shiatsu cushions. That feels sooooooo much better.

It's been hitting around the high 40's in the morning and that makes it much harder to get up for work. Way too cold for me! It was raining a half day yesterday and so we got this big-ass rainbow going over us and was freaking awesome. It was kind of funny at the time too because I so happened to be eating a bag of Skittles. I have an affinity for the sour kind (don't ask me why, I just do!)

No TV! The horror! It's been down for the last 3 days so our house is saying goodbye to Dish Network. So while we wait for our new service to kick in, were left with virtually no basic channels with the exception of the Hallmark Channel. A channel with the most pathetic Christmas specials made for television crap I ever seen! Every 2 hours, there's some family with some dying Xmas wish and Santa comes in to save the day, and then some dysfunctional family all of a sudden gets back to normal yada yada yada! Gosh I miss my sports channels.

My present job is a bore. So I've gotten some luck recently. I had 2nd job interview today with the folks at Tarjay! If I land this gig, I'm set!

Nothing in the fridge tonight! Going to order a pizza.

Good luck with the interview--hope that goes well, of course!!!

I had pizza tonight. Pizza indeed. I also had cheesy bread, which was in the shape of a pizza, and also cinnamon bread, also in the shape of a pizza. Basically it was three pizzas. Three. Mmmboy.

Law school applications in soon, I think. :)

Looking forward to any news from the Chems about new music. :D :D :D

Nothing else new to report, other than it's cold in Portland. COLD!

Hallmark Channel? I would rather read a book. Been snowing past few days. Gonna be under 10 degrees tomorrow. Shit.

Pizza sounds good.

I'm not cut out for cold weather. Bosco, if I lived where you live I'd probably have to murder someone on a daily basis and live in their warm carcass.

Yesterday, the mall was packed beyond capacity so shopping is done. Picked up my first HD TV for the living room so its the perfect time to hook it up to my new cable service. Saw UFC 107 with a friend and had some cerveza.

Did my 11 mile run today in 1 hour and 31 min. A personal best for me even though the steep hills were a little bothersome. But it feels so much better when you hit the showers and have a good warm meal next to you and just thinking about what's to come next week for the big Hoo-Raa.

I guess it's not over yet! I got a 3rd interview to take this week. I thought the 2nd would be the last. Maybe the third time IS the charm.

The only Chemical Brothers/ Xmas video I could find http://www.youtube.c...h?v=ww-9FzkRQgI
