I've been playing Deus Ex. The polygons are so pointy I'm weary I will get poked in the eye, but it's actually quite good so far. I remember why I quit playing it last time: I played for ages and then died and it took me right back to the home screen - MANUAL SAVE! I'm so used to cloud based auto-saving that I had forgotten.

All about the retro. Completed Deus Ex, was amazing. Tried Rainbow Six but it keeps crashing.

What are your top 5 games?
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  • Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
  • Rainbow Six: Raven Shield
  • GTA II
  • Street Fighter II

2. Final Fantasy series
3. Monkey Island series
4. Uncharted series
5. Assassins Creed series

MP wise, was hooked on WoW for years, glad that it's behind me, on COD MW2 for a while, and on old UT (ah, LAN parties...). Thinking about DayZ, maybe...

I actually been chipping away at it when I get home from work for the last 2 weeks! I tend to lonewolf it sometimes, as I'm not a fan of planning, plus it's less casualties on the team.

Don't know what os your running, but plays good on win 7. Maybe a bad install perhaps.

Cheers! I think those 2 games alone sucked 1/4 of my life!

I got it working today, just uninstalled/reinstalled (GOG.com). It was due to a change I made in the graphics settings, must have been too much for my Win7 x64 PC to handle...

It's really hard! You can't change the mouse sensitivity and the planning aspect is indeed hard to understand. All the keys are mapped terribly so you have to redo them. I'm not sure if I'm going to play it again, seems like it's not worth the effort.

I really like the looks of Dishonoured but I'll wait for some time before I buy that. Far Cry 3 is out first but I will wait for the reviews because Ubisoft have churned out some absolute dog shite recently.

The hours. The frustration. I love that game!!!

Try doing speedruns of some of the levels, they're fun to do (especially on the ones with the long straight bar that rotates back and forth).

Gone retro again!
http://www.quakelive.com/#!home

Easy to get going in seconds! Surprisingly runs smooth in the browser! Not bad at all!

AC 3: Tons of shit to do, but seems to be boring on some parts for now, but does well on climbing/scaling/killing etc! Like the boat missions in the ocean though!

HALO 3: Graphics are the best I've seen. Had to stop for a couple of moments just to look at the backdrops! The campaign game is great but not mindblowing! 343 did a good job from grabbing the keys from Bungie and taking over the franchise! MP is of course where it's at! Overall impressed with the game.

Have a listen to the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon score by Power Glove. It's obviously inspired by the Terminator score by Brad Fiedel.

The game looks brilliant!

Hah! I get the game with my new graphics card. First it was only Tomb Raider and Bioshock: Infinite, but now they've decided to give us one more => Far Cry Blood Dragon.

Nice! :D What graphics card are you getting? I bought Crysis 3 but after installation a pop up said I need a DirectX 11 card... bastards! Can't afford one so it's just gathering dust :(

I've bought an Asus Radeon HD 7870 DirectCU II V2 two months ago, and AMD has this Never Settle Reloaded thing running where you bought an amd-card and get selected games as a Steam-Code based on the chip you've chosen - for the 7870 it was Tomb Raider and Bioshock:Infinite. And now they've decided to give away one more which is the new Far Cry.
All in all i paid around 210€ and get a brand new DX11-card and three high end games. Not a bad deal in my opinion.

That's a great deal imo. Did you by any chance run Crysis 3 on it?
