So I thought Id share this one with you all, Im sure most of the Aussie's on this forum will know about it though as it looks pretty big and appears to be touring across Australia for the first couple of weeks in March.

Tom and Ed are headlining alongside Pendulum, Leftfield, Richie Hawtin, MGMT, Mark Ronson amongst others, check the full lineup here:

http://www.futureent...ne-artists.html

Im going to the one in Melbourne and already getting excited!

Anyone else seen this or been before? I haven't seen the Chems since Brixton 07, Im guessing they will still have thier own live setup and visuals even though their not the only headliners?

Molly

Hi Molly,

There has been discussion about this on this forum http://www.thechemic...es/page__st__60

I went to Future last year in Sydney, mainly because The Prodigy were headlining. I must say it was an experience. I have never felt so out of place in my life, I am old... and usually at concerts I go to there are at least a few people my age scattered about, but Future was 25,000 people under 20. If you were in your late 20's you were old. It was a memorable experience though.

In 2011 I'm flying to Brisbane for the Chems show, then going to Brisbane Future the next day (one more try), then flying to Melbourne to see the Chems show then back to Sydney for another Chems show. Can't wait...

I hope they use their own screens and stuff at Future, in Sydney last year the screens were shit and the sound was shit, no matter where I was I could hear at least 3 stages going.
Further Remixed There's nothing else...

Woah! Your getting your Chems fix while their over there then! Im guessing you have something to do with them workwise? Not just a massive fan!? I mean won't they play relatively similar sets at each gig?....

I have to say though that some of my best memories have been at Chemical Brothers gigs, Glastonbury 2003 in particular.... so fair doo's if you are a massive fan!

Yeah I was worried that as its not thier own gig the setup wouldn't be at the same level as their own shows...

Shall check out the other thread as well, thanks!

Molly

Just a massive fan . Haven't had a holiday for ages. If I record a bit of each show, and dance my ass off for the rest, I think I'll come away a happy man after that week.

I've never been to Future (I'm in the States) but most Chems shows I've seen were festival sets and they haul along their own gear and stage set up.

It's so nice to read when people say some of their best memories have included Chemical Brothers gigs. Hopefully you'll come away from Future with another happy memory! :)
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

I hope so!!! I was a massive fan prior to Glastonbury 2003 but have held them in such high regard ever since! I remember thinking during their set so long as I can afford to come here each year and do this then everything else is fine, it was a great feeling of contentedness!
