Band called Toxic Coma.... it's like... god, I dunno, old techno/industrial, but newer sounding, and it's loaded with Invader Zim/Futurama/South Park samples.

Psychophreak was written over the summer of 2004 using only renoise tracker with some vsti plug ins. Pretty impressive if you ask me... Toxic coma has always been about making normal people go crazy, and making insane people laugh and enjoy themselves. This music is for the hard core freak and or psychonaut. Psychedelica. We use so many styles and genres in our music that we consider ourselves the ultimate fusion of all electronic underground hardcore styles. We won't bother you with labels. We just promise that this is extremely tripped out and freaky. We try to mess with your head and make you laugh... Anyone who likes to listen to music while under the influence will love how fucking thick and detailed this cd is. We dare you. These songs are long, and they change constantly and are perfect for drifting in and out of this universe. This music is about having fun and freaking out.

Oh yeah, and they give their shit away for FREE!

My first thought was like 'groovy', but then came the voice and scamped the nice air. The voice is sometimes horrific and aberrant, but even funny.

It would be good if it weren't for those highly irritating sound bites.

I like it, but I couldn't listen to it all the time - and when I listened I found it amusing in a Block Cartman Beats sort of way (anyone remember that floating around Napster back in the day??) Anyway. The samples I found amusing because I recognize where a lot of them came from, but they are so constant they stop being funny (IMO, sorry stash!) and they take away from the music which I think has the potential to be strong on it's own. It's novelty music to me. It doesn't make it un-fun, it just means it is what it is - which is music to listen to when you're peaking and too loaded to change what you're listening to.
