For the Brotherhood version of EBW5, the player timing shows 8:40 (same as single version of It Began In Afrika).
I have a vinyl rip (mp3) of this EBW which ends around 9:54.
Could any chems expert, who have the original vinyl release, tell me the actual lenght of the track?
I always thought the EBW version was longer than the single version...

the official time for vinyl vesion of EBW5 is 8.40 it is identical to the single version of It Began In Afrika because it is pressed from the same pressing plate.
so why is there a 9.52 EBW 5 mix?
the first original pressing of 50 or so EBWs will be a white label test pressing that are sent out to all the major DJ. they do not have the EBW synth logo. i believe this is where the different longer mix comes from.

yeah, I was shocked that it was the single version, thought it was longer too. kinda anti climatic end, but it's nice to have a ebw3 & 9 copy on cd!
not to dust off an old topic, but wasn't there a version that said "black out," don't know if that was on the old flash promo (110901.com? or something like that). Some crack-pot conspiracies around this..
