By coincidence I was listening to the Roskilde set from 2002 earlier this afternoon - they played Setting Sun - about 55 mins in - so probably a regular in the set from that time.

Not sure about Let Forever Be.

Isn't there a live version of Setting Sun on the The Private Psychadelic Reel single? Don't have mine here but I'm pretty sure... I agree on Let Forever Be with Noel, that would be sweet

Ohhhhh... wait wait, I meant having Setting Sun performed live WITH Noel on the vocals.

That track was played live from '96 to '04. And I was really sad, I might add, when they stopped playing it... :-(

Don't get me wrong--it's going to be insane. I expected a larger capacity, though.

Yeah, I was thinking bigger too, Pooter

Considering they were selling like 3/4 of year in advance, I thought it wold be around 15,000

Still, you lucky fucks are in store for an epic adventure...

9,000 capacity looks to be accurate:

I'm probably confusing it with Earls Court next door

9000 is nothing to sneeze at, it's a good size gig for 1 band to carry.

Festivals aside, what's the average size audience for a Chems gig when they're booked to headline their own show?

I'm not complaining - for some reason, I had the bigger figure in my head. Must be something to do with old age. 9k will be a great size.

In UK, typical sizes from the WATN tour: Roundhouse was prob 2k, Glasgow is the standard arena size, around 8 - 10k, Brixton is inbetween at about 5k.

Hmmm. ^ Good to know! I think the phrases "biggest gig of their career" as well as the massive mental imagery that the word "Olympia" produces sort of feeds the imagination that this gig is a football sized stadium gig - which it's not, really. So I can see how that could lead to some surprises with the 9000 capacity. I just now bothered to look at pictures of the Olympia (besides the Surrender cover) From what I gather the Olympia is an enclosed venue, going by the pictures I've seen so 9000 capacity should make for a hot evening in more ways than one. ;)

Hey Ayaz. Stay tuned to this thread for more details--I'm sure something will materialize by the time the show comes around.
