I meant the Santiago de Chile 2004 bootleg.

Oh yeah, I think I remember that one. I used to have it on one of my old computers, don't have it on the new one though. Is it on the FTP?

The Prodigy are still a massive headliner band. Liam Howlett has produced two Prodigy studio albums since TFOTL.
Get your facts straight, retard.

oi oi oi, no offences here alright or I will kick you out of here personally

I don't doubt they're still a massive headliner band. their gigs in the recent years have just been totally uninspired and boring - not big in QUALITY at all, especially when compared to chemical brothers shows.

also, I know about the 2 studio albums since TFOTL (I have never mentioned there hadn't, read others posts in here more carefully, man!) and they were quite poor. still, liam had mentioned after TFOTL he was not to reocrd any studio material any more. now, THAT'S a fact. probably you were too young back then to remember.

Oh and obviously I meant to refer to Daft Punk's 2007 live album, not 1997. My error.

Joeyjoejoe, that comment was uncalled for. Defend the Prodigy if you want but BWTGE wasn't out of line or rude with his opinion. I like the Prodigy a lot and they're a legendary live act too but no need to jump down the throat of anyone else on here. Cheers, bro.

the live 1997 album was more some kind pf official bootleg IMO. quite poor sound quality, cheap artwork and as weird extra that set of stickers... I didn't get it, also did not expect DP to release such material. live 2007 was way better.
love is all.

What set of stickers ? I don't have any in my copy of Alive 1997.

Whirly's point about the current show being somewhat slanted towards Further era material would be the main argument against a release though I think there's a pretty good spread of tunes from their entire career.

The show doesn't focus that much on Further, there are like 4 or 5 tracks from it. I think the presence of old tunes is pretty good, and the show would be perfect for a live album release. Oh and by the way, I mean a CD release ! Physical !

these ones http://www.discogs.c...s?release=13681

regarding the prodigy, of course u won't fall asleep there. but I recall a gig in Cologne few years back (pum, been there?) with them playing kind of a greatest hits set for an hours or so and that was it. for 40+ euros. uninspired, lacklustre. as if they didn't care. also they didn't really seem to have much fun - much different to tom and ed.

that may have been one gig but I've heard about a couple of others that were just the same.

I like The Prodigy and their live sets have energy. but in every video I've seen of them it looks like Liam just push the play button for each track.

to tom & ed:

i now, your argument was about a live dvd and the live experience thing. but that was "a long time ago in a far galaxy, far away". Nowadays youtube rules the world, and everybody just can see your live gigs recorded by crappy smartphones. do us and you a favour and sell some live set PLUS dvd to the fans. you get the money we get the live experience at home (and millions will still come to your outstanding gigs).

And yeah, you guys already did, back in 2005. Ok, it wasn't an entire set but some live tracks (live05 EP). (And you boys also did with further i think - not live but with all the visuals). I don't wanna sound rude, but i think it's time to overthink your arguments from back in the days.

I would prefer just a live album to be honest. You can't replicate the live experience from a DVD. I think the youtube videos are great because they are raw and offer a better point of view of the concerts, even with a poor quality. Maybe in 10 years a "Insert current physical format" with a compilation of the best performance would be cool.

exactly that's it. the songs are great - but what makes it "live"? there's no much surprises and things

I remember going periodical to a local record store (Schallschock, which is closed since 5 years or so :-( ) at the time and i talked to the owner about the prodigy concert (the 2004 one) and he said that he has a mate in Switzerland who has gone 2 weeks later to the concert in Bern or Zurich and the've played a full 2h set with mostly classics.

edit:

I saw the Prodigy when they came to Aus last year, it was at the Hordern pavilion in Sydney which holds around 5000 people. I was pretty excited, crowd was pretty pumped but by the time they came on an hour late, and then did a pretty mediocre 1hr 15mins, I went away completely underwhelmed.

In contrast the Chems pack out the Entertainment Center with 15000, and blow the whole place away.
Further Remixed There's nothing else...
