hate to say it, but prob oribital over the chems. the chems will probably do a full live tour round the venues when the album comes out (well i hope they will!!) so you can always check them again.
gotta pay yer respects to paul and phill really - they're already legends in my book. :)

I've been torn, too sunshine boy. Not quite as badly as your torn seeing as Orbital are throwing in the towel... First time I saw the Chems was at a festival. Spiritualized were playing the 2nd stage and my husband and I love Spiritualized and wanted to see them soooooooo badly! We didn't know what was up with Spiritualized because Jay Pierce had just sacked the whole band so we thought, it's all up in the air - it might be now or never.
We waited as the 2nd stage was set. God, it took forever (all those candles had to be lit and there was lots of sound checks) At least we'd enjoy Spiritualized for about half an hour before the Chems came on the main stage. They overlapped but not that badly, we thought. But as luck would have it, Spiritualized went on 20 minutes late! Damn candles!!! I kept watching my watch and I couldn't enjoy the show because I was dying to get a decent spot for the Chems. Ditched out on Spiritualized after 10 minutes and ran out to the main stage are with a couple of minutes to spare.
But there might be hope sunshine boy. If Orbital and the Chemicals are sharing the same stage, then they won't overlap - that way you'll get the best of both worlds. Here's hoping, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

there on opposite stages,so my current plan is to see the full set of the chems and then run to see the later part of orbital as they will probaly be closing it so i might be able to see all the chems and some of orbital last set, I will work it out later closer to the gig.
will there definetly be a new tour with chems 5?

just cos they are headlining there own arena doesn't mean they are gonna be playing the same time. i'm sure the promoters would not put massive attack, the chemical brothers and orbital on at the same time, they'd be fuckin muppets if they did. i'm sure the bands as well would not like to clash with each other.
I'm a fuckin doughnut

yep, promoters are dumb shits, often no thought whatsoever given to programming.
homelands 2001 - banging set of someone (cant remember who) followed by ST Etiienne, folowed by Josh Wink. Poor old st etienne, their early evening smoky jazz just turned the pill'd up hordes out of the tent faster than you can say jimmy saville, - took josh wink boshing it ou to bring 'em back!!
glastonbury - 2003 - radiohead on at the same time as the chems - cheers mr eavis. you bearded capitalist-hippy twat.
and more times than i care to remember (especially at homelands!!) - getting their with a couple of DJ's you REALLY want to see in mind, only for them to be on far too early, like 4.00 pm (Mr C) and 8.00 pm respectively. homelands 2002 - layo and bushwaka debut live set - time? 8.00pm!! for fecks sake!! this is prime time 1.00am gurn material!! instead we get slam churning out records that sound really dull in a big, well lit tent and carl cox banging out the type of techno i dont like. grrrrrr. and all that fun for 60 a ticket!!
twats, the lot of 'em.
