Things sure have changed from 1999 to 2009 (last time I went)
Anyone that's going, you'd better make sure to head out to the festival nice and early on the Friday.

that would definitely constitute a reason for me not to attend such a festival.
the shit's also discriminating, having to have the wristband on the right wrist. what happens to those poor souls just having a left arm for whatever reason? "sorry, sir, you must not enter as you should have the wristband on your other arm instead". crap, security measures alright, but that's a bit much.
also, what is the sensitive data stored in these bands? feels a bit like the big brother situation. they know where you are and what you do.

Is this a Joke or what!
If I'm tracked at the festival, what makes me think that I won't get tracked outside of the festival!
Anyway, some amusment parks are starting to do this, so the family doesn't lose a kid or two. Hospitals do this too for babies!
And somehow Coachella thought of this idea!
The world just gets more weirder.
Clusterfnckchella??? You bet Whirls!
Yep!
It's Coachella's version of the Eye of Sauron!<br>

I am not happy at the way the organizers of Coachella are choosing to handle the growth and expansion of the festival.
I'll hope for the best, but it's starting to look like this will be my last time going.

I am hoping it's for the best too.
I haven't visited the Coachella board so I don't know what people are saying about it. But the Coachella facebook crowd appears to be torn. Between the "police state" type replies and the discontent over scalping, to people proudly saying they'll gate crash and free load, I found comments upsetting. So I stopped reading.
It's really too bad it has come to these types of measures. Security getting into the festival was always pretty tight in my experience but this feels extreme. Maybe part of it has to do with the actual residents of Indio as the town is overwhelmed when accommodating the event. I don't know. Overall Coachella was such a chill festival. I am hoping once inside the gates, it remains that way.

Don't be scared of the future Pooter. I mean technology is cool sometimes, but just wait till you get your bands in the mail, and you'll be singing a different tune!
What if I accidentally put it on my left wrist when I go! HA!
