I can't believe you didn't know it either. I thought everyone knew what furries were. They've got huge press lately....
Basicly, they're one of the worst things the internet has ever done. Before the internet, these people would have realized that they were sick freaks, and they would have sought counseling for their fucked up thoughts and behaviors, but now, thanks to the internet, they can meet others who share their deviant lifestyles and have started to think that they're normal.
Just watch, it won't be long before some guy sues his company because they won't let him wear his Doberman Pinscher fur suit to work at the old folks home.
