The price may be steep, but just about everything on New Year's has the price jacked up.
Around here, a decent New Years gig with big names in a good club will cost around $100 easily.
I would gladly pay �45 to see the Chems if I could...

that's the trouble with nye.....the djs cost (a lot) more, so you have to put your prices up.
will be well worth the money tho...and the chems are doing it for the 4th nye in a row, so they clearly love it too

I stayed in the same hostel as Marsh last year and it was really good, I thought. Right across the street from the British Museum in Bloomsbury. Accomodations were clean and reasonable. Prices were cheap as fuck (7 days for less than 100 GBP). Only problem was the hot water tank went out for a couple days, so I had cold showers until Jeanie and Ed were nice enough to let me shower at their hotel.
We walked to Turnmills/Spoons from the hostel and though it was a bit of a hike, it was quite doable. About a 2 minute from Russell Square tube station. Also walkable from Soho, etc. I recommend the place.
