I never understood the video for Another Chance by Roger Sanchez. Does anyone else remember it? - Its about this single lady who walks round a city carrying a giant love heart saying hello to people. Eventually she meets a guy who takes her out for a coffee. The love heart turns small. The following morning he comes round to her flat and sees her coming out door, the love heart is giant again. The guy sighs, and turns back.



Did anyone make sense of it?

yeah well i think the girl was wating to give the heart or something coz she love him???, but he wasnt prepared????... i dont know is a a little bit weird but i think is a nice video.

i've got the 7 television commercials DVD by radiohead and it must be excellent! i say must because i've not seen it so far (want to see it with my girlfriend for the first time) but i know the vids... they are BIG

saturday there was a top 100 best videos list on MTV2. Now that one was acurate. Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze and Chris Cunningham had 8 of the top 10 vids. White Stripes, Chemical Brothers and Beastie boys where also in that top 10. Best vid was Windowlicker by the Aphex Twin.

Now that list I can understand.

THATS because mtv2 KICKS ASS.

There was this "Coloboration top whatever " ( is that how you wire it ? when people work togheter ? ) And the chems where in it with Life is Sweet.

mtv2 seem to have top 100/50/25 video charts quite often and are always different!



Last one i saw a few months ago had a queens of the stone age video at no. 1. Cool video, but i've seen better.



IMO, most of the chems videos rightfully belong within any top 25 music video list. My favourites are 'star guitar', 'hey boy hey girl', 'let forever be' and 'the golden path'.



I also think there should be a more prestigious award for music video directors - maybe a category at the oscars! The likes of Gondry, Jonze, Cunningham, et al deserve more recognition for what they do - music videos aren't just another stepping stone towards feature film making, they are an art form in their own right. 8)

I think that's a great suggestion Hubie!! The only awards show for video's I know off is the MTV awards. But a more serious/prestigous award is a great idea. I don't think it will be in the Oscar awards but maybe an Emmy is a good place to start.

Well since mtv is the home of music videos (at least it should be) I think it's appropriate to celebrate music videos with the mtv awards ceremony.



I really do believe videos are like mini works of art on film and it would be nice to see these videos celebrated in another awards format.



Cannes Film Festival - can't get more prestigious than that! Who knows they might even already have a category for music videos, we just don't know about it?? I do know they have their own Cannes festival for advertising, so it wouldn't be a stretch if one day music viddies were in there (if they aren't already)...

anyone here seen the new gorillaz video? i think it's right up there with one of my new fav's
