winter music conference. its where the whole dance music industry goes to miami for a working holiday.

On March 6 - 10, 2004 thousands of music industry professionals will gather in Miami Beach for dance music's most anticipated event of the year. I believe they are just doing a dj set at Ultra, not playing live.

I got this in astralwerks newsletter:-

...The Chemical Brothers will also be doing an additional dj set at

the massive Ultra Beach Festival on March 6th! This

year's Ultra Fest boasts 200 djs with The Chems

headlining.

The band will be doing two different types of sets, so

we reccomend attending both events if you can. We'll

be there down in the front...

Sounds like maybe a live set and also a DJ set! :D I also hope (although it would make a lot of sense) that the Chems play some of their own new material! The Astralweks site has a microsite about this, where it mentions that this is the Chems first appearance at Miami/Ultra festival. Also has Felix's GYH remix playing the background. Plus, Radio 1 will be having lots of coverage of the festival (live?) although I'm not sure when the Chems are playing - Pete Tong was talking about the schedule, but I really wasn't paying that much attention at the time, so it was kinda 'blah blah blah, blah blah blah Chemical Brothers'. I wish I heard it properly now!

ChemicalBrother, I thought the same thing (live set and dj set) when I first skimmed over the Astralwerks newsletter.

But upon closer examination, I don't think that's the case:

"...The Chemical Brothers will also be doing an additional dj set at..." So, they'll be doing two different types of sets.

It would be a wicked surprise if they pulled a live gig though!!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
