yep I'm gonna try and get the US release too. Can't be arsed with buying all the UK formats just so I can get the b-sides.

i wouldn't blame the chemical brothers or virgin so much, i would blame the silly 7" release and the bpi rules on single releases. a chart elegable single release is only aloud 3 physical format releases from a choice of
1. 2 track cd: containing a maximum of 10 minutes of music. normally costing £1.99
2. maxi cd: containing a maximum of 25 minutes of music and no more than 4 tracks. normally costing £2.99
3. dvd: containing a maximum of 25 minutes of music and no more than 4 tracks
4. 12": containing a maximum of 25 minutes of music and no more than 4 tracks
5. 7": containing a maximum of 20 minutes of music and no more than 3 tracks
6 cassette: containing a maximum of 20 minutes of music and no more than 3 tracks
the 2 track cd is an obvious choice, its cheap, its gonna sell better than the maxi cd to the average punter (not fan though!). the 12" single is a no brainer too. so the last choice of the format is what fuck it up for us. we get a 7" single when prehaps the maxi cd would have been so much better! cant help but thnik the 7" sales are gonna be dwarfed by what the maxi cd could have done

Well the 7" and 12" should already be in the mail -- so, I guess i have a nice looking collectors item. whee.
Plus I'll get to hear it too (since i finally got a damn turntable). yay.
Yeah, I need to get the promo so I can get a copy of the dub too.
