It's not really porn in that it's dolled up with overly beautiful people, fancy camera angles and uncomfortable "porn positions". I do enjoy porn from time to time (confessions confessions!) but let's face it - it's hardly like real life because in porn, the way in which people are positioned are for the camera's advantage and nothing more. try some of those positions in real life and you'll either end up with a permanant kink in your neck, or in the porn industry with a chiropractor on the set at all times. Or maybe I'm just not that limber. heh. Anyway, 9 Songs is sexually explicit without being grotesque or being full blown porn - for example, they show the pink as well as full frontal male nudity, the money shot and a fair amount of light kink. People are having sex in the film, and it's raw and realistic. But there's not much story other than it chronicles a couple's sexual relationship from beginning to end. But in reality, a lot of relatioships are that way - so, not much else to say on that matter. I wouldn't particularly say the movie is fantastic, but it is forward thinking in terms of sexuality in a fairly mainstream flick by a fairly well respected director (Michael Winterbottom).
Oh, and the music in 9 Songs is loads better than that boom-chikka-ba-wah crap they play in porn. Come on!
