Glasto is many, many miles away for me.
I'll have to settle on being there in spirit and mind, and hope you all that are going have enough fun for me, too. Hell, you'll probably have enough fun for everybody! :D

full glasto ticket details
Firstly, I confirm the key points announced previously:
Tickets will go on sale at 8 pm on April 1, 2004.
Tickets will cost 112.00 plus 3.00 booking fee and 4.00 postage and packing.
Tickets will only be sold on the telephone ticket line 0870 830 2004 and through the website address - www.aloud.com.
No credit cards can be used, only debit cards. Electron cards will not be accepted.
Postal orders and cheques will be accepted as payment on the telephone ticket line, provided they are received by the ticket agency within five working days of the sale.
Car Parking and campervan/caravan tickets will be available to purchase in the same transaction as the tickets. Car Parking tickets will cost 5 per vehicle and campervan/caravan tickets will cost 40 per vehicle. Only campervans or caravans with fitted sleeping, washing and cooking facilities will be allowed into the campervan field this year. Please check the website for details of which types of vehicles can use these fields.
Tickets sales will be restricted to two per person and per telephone call. Each transaction will be thoroughly checked, and duplicate transactions will be declined - if not at the time of sale, at a later stage.
In addition to the two tickets a parent or guardian can purchase in their own right, they will also be able to buy a maximum of two 'Child tickets'. These tickets are for children between the ages of 13 and16, who must be accompanied at the entry gate by that adult. 'Child tickets' will be the same price as adult tickets. Accompanied children 12 and under are free and do not need a ticket.
All tickets will be personalised and checks will be made at the gates. Details of these checks will be sent out with tickets.
You will need to give a name and address for each person coming to the festival. As there will be no refund or option to change details once tickets are sent out, please be sure all details are accurate when booking tickets. Ticket orders can be cancelled and ticket price refunded until May 20th.
Overseas ticket sales will be handled differently from UK ticket sales. If you are living abroad, you can only buy tickets online using a credit card. Tickets for overseas sales will not be sent out by post, but can be collected from an office in Shepton Mallet. Details of the collection arrangements and the checks that will be carried out will be sent to successful ticket purchasers.
Since I made the original announcement, I have decided as a further measure to address the problem of touts, that the Festival will not accept Credit Cards only Debit Cards. By announcing this change now, people have plenty of time to arrange to pay from a debit account.
I am sorry if this change to a debit card only policy causes any problems, but there are benefits for everyone. This measure has allowed the Festival to cut the booking fee charged from 5 to 3 per ticket and should there be any further savings I will pass that money on to the charities and good causes the Festival supports.
Information about how personalised tickets will be checked will be included when the tickets are sent out to ticket buyers and not before for security reasons.
Further guidance will be announced on this site as arrangements are confirmed.
Thank you for your forbearance but all of these changes are made to make real improvements to the ticket sales for this year.

How uch money do they make out of this festival? :o
well this festival is a festival with a concience. it has always had it's heart as a fund raiser for charity. currently it supports 3 main charities. greenpeace, oxfam and water aid. last year these charites recieved over half a million pounds from glastonbury. the money they make does not line the pockets of a fat cat. it does go some worthwhile causes.
the darkness wanted a million quid to play glastonbury this year. even though they are the biggest band in britain at the moment the glastonbury promoters refused to pay such a figure because it would have had a big impact on the charity contributions.
i think glastonbury is real value for money. a one day festival in britain is getting too near the 50 mark. so 3 days for 115 is very good, plus if you wanted to, you could camp there for a whole week.
