The reference to 2003 digital remaster could be from the Singles 93-03 compilation. They could have been remasted without us being te wiser or they could have just ripped the masters from that compilation rather then go back into the archives to find the original singles or album versions....lazy bastards.....I means.......

I guess this is the answer to this thread...FINALLY!
'The new album, Brotherhood, is a compilation of tracks from the Chemical's 13 year history. Aside from a couple of newer tracks like the next single Midnight Madness and Keep My Composure, which features Baltimore electro rapper Spank Rock, the tracklisting is almost identical to their singles collection from 2003.
Simons said: "Since then, we've had some bigger hits like Galvanise, so we've tacked those on and re-jigged the order.
"We've played to so many people over the past few years at festivals who don't really buy our records so it's for those people.
"It's not really for people who have got all our music."'

hmmmmm but its the ppl who have all their music that are buying it too......
hopefully when they signed to emi it was for a 5 album deal, which they usually are.....then they can jump ship and let emi hit the bottom of the north sea with nothing but a string quartet playing on her decks.....

Might be a bit too late to jump into discussion, but here I am and whatcha gonna do about it, huh?
Personally, I was very surprised to find out Chems are releasing one more 'best of' collection. I don't really see the point of it, it's obviously label's idea to get extra quick cash, but at least we get a nice bonus disc of all EBWs. This time, even cover art seems kinda recycled, I mean using old artworks to create a new one... Nice idea, but it adds to the feeling of quick cash-in.
Parts of tracklisting don't make much sense either - you get Midnight Madness and Saturate on CD1, when they're also on CD2 in full EBW glory... and Saturate has never been an official single (only a rare radio promo with Edit version), what's it doing there? Life Is Sweet is omited AGAIN - how is that possible? I believe it's one of the best Chems singles ever. The feeling of "Definitive singles collection" is also ruined by the lack of The Boxer, The Test, Elektrobank... But the 2CD box is definitely a nice collector's item.

Shit suxx except for EBW10!
This is a cheap version of 93-03 and you all know it.
Why not release an EP instead:
01.EBW10
02.Keep My Composture
03.All Rights Reversed (Fight The Drabs Mix)
04.Hey Boy Hey Girl (Soulwax "2many Dj's" remix)
As Den_B pointed out "contractual obligations", I hope they go Independent or something after this.
;_;

hopefully the album after the next one is on diamond records! ;)
if they signed a 5 album contract after cwu the next album will be 5, uness it was after dyo, then the next album might be on an indie.
ive always felt they should leave emi, its just a shit label now.....
