like woah... got quite a package in the mail today... !! :D

Where do I begin? :P

Well, got the standard Obi strip, of course, and there's the bonus track y'all know about, but inside there were a couple extras that I think might not be in the other releases:

1) Chemical Brothers logo tattoo

2) An extra booklet tucked inside the sleeve (or whatever you call that - wicked artwork, by the way!), all in Japanese, with a big bio thing and this section called "Chemical Question, Chemical Answer, Chemical Twist, Chemical Now", AND lyrics to some of the tracks!

Now having said all this, the bio and such may be indluded in the UK release, because although I can't read the Japanese, it says the biography is by a Paul Morley... there's also a URL on the back, though this may be the chems Japanese site as mentioned in a previous topic: http://toemi.jp/chems/

yah, I guess it is, just checked.. heh, gotta love the guy tossing his head around.. nice..

anyway, that's all for now, feel free to pose questions, though I may not be back on here until after the weekend

cheers,

wayno

Wayno, that's pretty damn cool!!

Obi strips are a nice touch, they make records a real good collector's item.

First up, how's Giant??

Is there anything in the booklet that we should know about?

Where'd you put the tatoo? }:-)

It's not a tattoo, it's just a sticker. More like a "window" sticker type sticker. The OBI strip has picture instructions, and they show it going on a tag. I don't think you can tattoo a tag :)

Ah - it's settled then!

But just think. If it was a tattoo, we could've have a thread titled "Where's you put your Chems tattoo?" with pictures and everything.

I would buy the Japand ed. except it costs 40 freakin' bucks! That's like 27 more dollars for some extra stuff you can't read and an extra track!

I wish the Chemical bros would release a CD with all of thier great songs like that and one's you don't get in the albums...

That sounds extremely cool, fingers crossed this track released as b-side here. Also, I noticed that rize up is not on the us release of galvanize, so it could appear (maybe) on the next us maxi cd release?

yeah, hey guys I'm back after a weekend with PTB, and just wanted to say first anyway that that's a pretty good description of Giant and I'm really glad I got this track 8)

thanks for clearing up the "tattoo" issue - I noticed the directions on the obi strip and since I couldn't read them there were pictures like Rukes said and I was a little confused at why you would put a tattoo on whatever the hell they were putting it on...

So of course I love the album, and so far my favourite tracks are The Boxer, Hold Tight London, Come Inside, Surface to Air... and the rest, heh. Possibly my least favourite track is Shake Break Bounce since I wasn't sure the vocals weren't a little cheesy (no offense), but it's still pretty good!

Oh another thing about the Japan Edition in particular - perhaps the funniest part is the first line of Japanese in the extra booklet, at the top of the first page inside:

yeah, don't ask me what that's all about...

and there's one more thing on that booklet that confuses me:

This is on the back, and it was also on the sticker on the plastic wrap and there seemed to be a little explanation on what it's for... in Japanese. so somebody tell me what kind of technology this is, please.. and hopefully it's not some superexclusive thing that's not supposed to be distributed or someone will come and shoot me as I sleep.

I bet, the GIANT will appear on next Chemicals single, because i doubt they recorded a track for Japan only ;)

Hmmmm... It's broken record time!!!!!111!!1!!!!1 (newb style)

Man, I really with they'd make a compilation of all the songs like giant that arn't on the albums... mostly cause I'm to poor to by all the singles and rare crap with them on it, just for the one song not on an album

yes, that was important enough to bold... I think :?
