Eddie Birdsong - Cola Bottle Baby
(thanks iggy)
Wow, I've just lost a shedload of respect for Daft Punk. I can't believe their flagrant sampling of this record. I'm stunned. I thought Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger was mostly theirs, but this proves that wrong. I can't believe it, it sounds like something they'd do, but it's such an appalling case of sampling ripping off someone else's work that gives dance music a bad name in the first place. Shocking.

what makes "Harder, better, faster, stronger" more of a rip-off than any other tune with samples in it?? :?

I was hurt to chemfan :'(
It's just because the sample used dominates the track. We just assumed the sample would have played a small part in the song. The best part of the song is the music, which isn't theirs.

yeh, its not really a tune with a sample is it? it makes up pretty much the whole of the tune! more a remix than an original piece of music, which is what its kind of sold as.
