I made it to Rome fine. Theres a wireless network in the hotel room, so i guess ill be able to post after all. The flight was fine (world business class, biotches! hehehe). I mainly listened to music the whole time though, chems, ulrich schnauss, the avalanches (big thanks to whoever was talking about them earlier, I downloaded Since I Left You and love it). My chemical brothers t-shirt got me both a sexy smile and wink from a mildy attractive girl (first bit of recognition its ever gotten, i believe :( ). So far i havent seen any kind of historic stuff yet (well, i saw it, but i didnt visit it), i may later today, but i dunno.

I have no idea where to look to find out if there are any gigs or anything going on around here and furthermore, if i would be able to see them so if anybody can link me to a site or anything, itd be appreciated.

Whoa dude, you're in Rome? that rocks man.

Weird things about Rome so far:

1. Weird euro-cars that, if turned vertical, i would still be taller than.

2. Small black population (Memphis is like 60% black so its kinda weird for me to only seeing like 4 black people in a day)

3. The huge amount of japanese people. i usually see like 0 japanese people in a day, but here there are like 6 out of every 100 people

4. Mannequins with nipples... 8O

Wow, looks like we got a tsunami warning - this is something new!

:?

Nothing's happened yet, and since the quake happened over an hour ago I doubt anything seriously major will come of it, but it'll be interesting to see how this affects the tides.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

First thing we did when we met Darkstar at the bus station was take him back to the hotel so he could wash the Greyhound off!

hehe, actually, I think the first thing was hit the vaporizer. :D

Looking back, we should've hotboxed the washroom. I'm reminded of the time I hotboxed a handicapped-person elevator on campus. Somehow the fact that it was a handicapped-person elevator makes it funny to me. :D

hot boxing is when you lock yourself in a small space and then fill it with pot smoke.

BTW, in case anyone wonders where whirly is, our computer at home is acting fucked up.... last night the keyboard died, and all the sound died, for no apperent reason while I was playing GTA.... I went and looked, and for some reason the sound control panel was switched to 'Mute', all by itself, and this morning the keyboard was still fuct... then I started getting 'Low Disk Space' messages, once again for no reason, it was on my HD that's only used for the OS, nothing ever gets saved or installed there, and when I restarted, the HD started making scary clicking noises... I turned on the disk clean up program, going to grab an extra keyboard from work today, but I fully expect to come home to a compete HD crash today...

Whirly once thought it would be wise to keep a potted plant on the shelf above the computer. One night, possibly while slightly intoxicated, she remembered that she needed to water this plant, so she did. Perhaps 'over watered' is the proper term, because it more or less flooded over the shelf and into the cooling vents on the top of our monitor, which gave a rather loud popping noise, then some smoke.

we moved the plant before we got a new monitor.
