They're the most intense performance you'll ever see, guaranteed. And don't get me wrong, I'm going to see Rage Against the Machine and they're probably the hardest, rawest act that will ever pass the stage, but while your anger is a gift, your love is a tool for transformation.

I've seen The Chemical Brothers in 2002 in San Francisco, 2005 at Coachella, and a DJ set of theirs in 2003 in New York.

Apparently it wasn't even Guy and Thomas in them costumes. That's just a rumor though. I really liked their set, although the more I listen to them the more I think - Yeah I'd love to see them again [They're also doing Oxegen]. But then whenever I'm not being brainwashed by their tunes I don't really seem all that up for them, I mean their good and I'd recommend them to anyone who ain't seen
I dnt think that rumors true.
Si, cant belive you didnt dig dafts live show, personally having seen it I would put it up there with the chems and prodigy.

And for the record, I agree with MadPooter. I've seen some really great shows over the years, but there's something magnetic and intense about seeing the Chems live. It's hard to explain - it's not a rock show where you've got people bangin on guitars and an energetic dancing front man doing stage dives (though those shows can be cool cool!) Seeing the Brothers live is incredible because the music takes everyone for a ride, and everyone goes with it - it's made to be enjoyed by the masses, and the crowd gets into it, people are so friendly - so they get props because if the crowd is good it makes the show that much better. It's a great thing to be in a league of thousands all moving to the rhythm in unison. Watching the live snippets on dvd is only the tip of the iceberg, it's good in a pinch and although it's great, it pales in comparison to the real thing - to be there immersed in sound has a powerful effect that's almost overwhelming. It has to be experienced to be believed.
Senses tingling. I can't wait to see them again!

One way i like to discrive Chems concerts is "A place where you realise there is some peace and love left in this fucked up world " And its true! You can forget youre problems for 2 hours , the guy next to you will not think about his parents getiing divorced , the girl on the other side will not think about her boyfriend who cheated on her , because all that countd at that moment is being there with all this beautifull people , feeling the musix and letting it take you on a ride.
I always feel so much more in peace with the world after a chems gig. It's like a pararell life to the real one - one that only we ( who go the the gigs ) no off , a world without war , aids , and all that horrible stuff we see on the news.
Amen.

ps Inverness isn't that difficult to get to from Dublin. Fly to Edinburgh (you can get cheap tickets) and then its a bus or train to Inverness. A return train journey isn't that expensive and its a lot comfier and faster. Its about two and a half hours, you could easily travel up on the Saturday morning but I'd get your seats booked now coz they'll book up really quickly once the tickets sell out.
