Yeah, the 50 worst lyricists thing was a joke.

Paul McCartney was on it... I guess those beatles songs he had a big part with just wrote themselves and he had nothing to do with them...

There are some cheesy Paul McCartney lyrics, there really are. Ebony and Ivory was pretty bad, you must admit. But it's kind of sacreligious to have him on a worst lyricist list if only for his monumental role as a Beatle and what they did for the world of music.

Another reason to not be bothered by the likes of Blender since they obviously have no idea what they're talking about.

It's important to remember that if Blender et al didn't make controversial selections, nobody would be talking about the list at all. How retread is the best album of all time debate? I'm a bit tired of it. (Is it Stone Roses? OK Computer? Sergeant Pepper? Thriller? Oops I Did It Again?)

As much as some of the choices on Blender's negative lists are blatantly dumb and obviously courting negative attention, it achieves the intended purpose. Just as much as any indie hipster list of the best albums ever is going to list some album of a Scottish minstrel farting into a microphone and using a loop sampler to double it up and play a violin alongside in the top 10. Standing out from the crowd is the name of the game.

Westlife hands down are the worst band..... although you can't even really call them a band as they don't play instruments & they don't write the music.

@Prochem: Yes, ACDC does suck. Seriously, every single one of their fucking song names is their chorus, and the only part of their chorus.

THUNDERSTRUCK! HELLS BELLS! DIRTY DEEDS! DONE DIRT CHEAP!

Though, to be fair, I really did like Thunderstruck. That riff somehow totally agreed with me and the energy in the beginning it builds is pretty sweet. But, alas, they should have made one album, and only one album. And Thunderstruck should have been on it.

Oh, but add Metallica in that Top 3--they're one of the most annoying fucking bands, and their fans are even more fucking annoying.

I like Hells Bells. The rest is rubbish as far as AC/DC are concerned.

Wow, I am actually surprised that some people agree with me! IMO, all their songs sound the same. The guitarist uses the same patch for every single song. Whenever I hear them on the radio it off as fast as possible.

@ prochem, What the Hip, *gets teary eyed*. I grew to like them though over the last year. I loved their last album. But I can understand, I used to hate them before when I would listen to radio and they would be on all the time (damn Canadian airplay regulations). I don't know. Their a band that just grew on me I guess. I still don't like some of their old songs.
