Ok, so I finally picked up myself a damn turntable. And here I go and play my copy of MMM.

The Dust-Up-Beats on my vinyl is:

- the acidic version

- NOT the lengthier Wipeout one

- etched with "G-COPYMASTERS" on A side

- etched with "JBO-20-A1" on A side

- etched with a very teeny "MA" on A side

- etched with "JBO-20-B2" on B side

- etched with a very teeny "MA" on the B side

Which version do I have? Withdrawn? Final release? Bootleg?

Thx for the honest replies and screw you to whomever rightfully flames me.

(and YES I've searched for the MANY previous postings on this, however, none of my searches gave me a definitive answer, as apparently Joslyn and Sneaker have different etchings, but the same track)

i have both copys and i know the score

i'm sorry to say you have the final release version. you have the slower verion of dust up beats with the female vocal. its a common misconception on this forum that this is the withdrawn version, but that is not true.

JBO-20-B1 is the withdrawn version. this is the one that was edit down for the wipeout soundtrack, and the version then used to play in their live sets.

I'm a fuckin doughnut

That's what I thought, based on the previous postings I searched and found -- But I just wanted to make sure.

It's ok -- I've already purchased three MMM and 2 Sea of Beats in search of the right ones... and let's not forget the EBWs that are all bootlegs. *sigh*

I'll be posting more questions about etchings to determine whether I have bootlegs. perhaps a change to the topic heading (is that possible?) will be necessary.. if not, i guess i'll start another one that's more general.
