A really good friend of mine passed away a few weeks back, he was 48 and went in his sleep after a big night of partying. A big shock to me, the thing is he got it easy, what a way to go. It's his wife and friends that are all left behind totally devastated that really matters. Sort of makes you angry ... if it wasn't so damn sad. Affected me more than when my own father passed.

In 30 hours I may find out that I cannot go to work on monday due to a government shut down since republicans are trying to fuck over America's budget by trying to stuff if full their crack-pot ideologies.
It is really sick that these people are so stubborn and devoid of ration that their BS rhetoric on job creation would actually put people nearly a million out of work and many more out of pay for an indefinite time while they try to eliminate low-income health care (which planned parenthood provides a lot of I can tell you from my job! none of which even has to do with birth control), health care for the elderly and disabled (Medicare), more low income health care (Medicaid), while giving the rich and corporations a 10% tax cut. This is the kind of shit that makes you realize that a bunch of irate middle-aged guys dressed like 18th century Americans in front of congress to convey a false pretense of loyal (as they do with Christianity) might be completely crazy.
That's my political flame rant for now. But I cant wait for Coachella -woooo, even if I have to pan-handle while there!

Not the greatest event to occur on the near-eve of Coachella...
In other news, one of my roommates is going through a conundrum on where she wants to live and is trying to move out before the lease ends... This in the middle of me and our other roommate subletting our apartment for the summer. God... fucking... damnit.
Small bumps along the road, and they're not the kind of bumps that you'd cut up with a credit card, unfortunately. Not that I'm in love with those kinds of bumps...
But back to the moral of the story.
Coachella, woo, and awesomeness.
@Biff: It's absolutely insane to hear the rhetoric that is coming out of D.C. right now. The Republicans are trying to undo and cut away at quite a bit at the moment and it's frustrating how they can reconcile the budget cuts to the poor while subsidizing the rich.
There are many, many arguments for taxing the upper 1% more than we do right now, and apparently the tax rate has been the lowest it's been in many, many decades. Arguments against raising corporate tax rates fall flat when you consider how some of the largest corporations in America, such as G.E. and Bank of America, have paid $0 in taxes this year because of tax loopholes.
Sorry to hear that your job is at risk.
Once again, insanity: Rhetoric that raising taxes will kill jobs and there is a need to "reign in spending," which in turn... kills jobs...

damn it, nooo! but i support the team which beats rb last autumn in the austrian cup (maybe now you no which team i mean). the best thing: my club plays in the 3rd league and rb in the first pro league. i really hate rb! nothing like a big product placement playing football! no soul at all.
you like football too? for my self i'm watching "deutsche Bundesliga" from week to week. van gaal, S04 stuff...i'm a real little expert.

that must be blau weiß linz then fantastic to have beaten rb, every team should beat them. they make austrian football as much a kindergarten as currently bundesliga is (schalke, bayern, hamburg, wolfsburg and so on).
unfortunately we have rb in germany also, playing in leipzig. fortunately they'r enot getting promoted to league 3 this season. so, they sack their coach end of season to get pacult in. a shame. hope they're staying at 4th league level forever.
my favourite german team is also playing on 3rd league level but getting promoted. and best: they're playing in the city where I live tomorrow and I'll be there to celebrate promotion. ace. hardly get to see their home matches as it is kinda 1,000 km away.

@boywiththegoldeneyes: yeah "blau weiss linz" (=blue white linz) is my team. what is yours? perhaps jahn regensburg? bwl has a very strong fan friendship with jahn.
rb leipzig sucks like rb salzburg. but it's good that pacult is leaving rapid vienna for them (big love for rapid vienna) that rapid will come back and win the league trophy.
bayern just in euro league would be great too!!!
(can't wait till "sportschau" tonight -> next season i buy a sky package to have it on fullscreen)

sorry multireplay doesn't work right now. excuse for not killing kittens, god!
my favourite one is hansa rostock who used to play 1st bundesliga for a number of years. saw them live yesterday and it was the worst game I've ever seen them playing. they lost 0-3 to saarbrücken, this is where I have lived for 3.5 years now.
it's going to be promotion celebrations on wednesday then. 14 points in front compared to 3rd placed team and only 5 games to go. should be safe
werder bremen is BIG to me, I lived in bremen for 5 years and my flatmate one of their biggest supporters.

A big nostalgia trip for me. It's strange that I like these songs so much.
