I'm sure that many of you here have already noticed those birds sounds in the background of some Chem's tracks. Does anybody know anything else about it?
These are a few songs that I've heard those birds singing. There are probably more but I can't remember at the moment.

Leave Home [last seconds and somewhere in the middle]
Chemical Beats [last seconds]
Get Yourself High [3:05 and 4:32]
Her Jazz [first seconds]
One Too Many Mornings [I don't remember exactly]

(...)
Did I pass the acid test?

They're somewhere at the end of We Are The Night too... I wish I could be more specific.

Don't quote me on this because I am just throwing it out there, but I remember someone on the forum ages ago said the bird tweets were a nod to the Social days.

I could be wrong...

I dig those chirpy sounds though. They are very much a chemical fingerprint like so many of their other recognizable undeniably chemical sounds.

I found an old thread about it!
http://www.thechemic...-in-every-song/
Some more tracks are mentioned, but it kinda peters off into a conversation about Surface To Air (if anyone remembers I'd be interested to know what "signature" they were talking about). It seems this just keeps coming up...

Galaxy Bounce uses it, you can hear it quite clearly at the end of the Singles Bonus Disc version. And I can hear it on Let Me In Mate, but it's not obvious.

Basically, it's a cymbal crash sample with some birds chirping after it. Don't quote me but I think they were using a pretty cheap sampler during their "Dust days", and the bird cymbol crash was the only one available to use.

Here's another thread that references the bird noises. (I'm pretty sure this is what I was remembering, in my first post in this thread)

Haha, I just knew when I saw that link that this was some old thread that I started. Which is weird, because why do I remember that I made a thread about this 5-6 years ago?

Reading this old thread, I've noticed that I was slightly obnoxious back then.

PS. The following made me lol:

I remember a veeeeery old article about Tom&Ed in Q (I think but am not sure) where it said something like "he's turning on the buttons and the sound is changing to a bird's sound".

It is indeed "hidden" in most of their old stuff (I agree also with Let Me In Mate) and I can well imagine it being a reference to the good old social days which they have picked up again and again.

What he said. I remember the old thread about that. I think I remember Tom or Ed confirming it.

I heard from a little bird that the bird is the word, ha. No really. It's a sample (which can't be revealed) - the original recording was a cymbal crashing that had some birds chirping after it. They never trimmed this and haven't found one they liked better, so there we go!

That old chestnut, I asked about that a while back too. Havent heard our feathered friends for a while. Maybe they've morphed into visual references though like KDB visuals and stretching it out further to black swan but that could be pushing it a bit.
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

They just used it the Hanna soundtrack, on "Marissa Wiegler":

Ha! Almost got away. Had to crank the volume to notice it though it seemed like it was in fast forward mode.
